Is everyone going to give Buatsi the same hate for fighting Averlant on Saturday that they did with Yarde, then?

 

Yarde is ranked world No.2 and has had 16 pro fights. Buatsi has had 7 pro fights. Its hardly comparable.

 

why hearn didn't bother making a fight between buatsi and burton I don't know??? they are both fighting bums on the same card instead.

 

Eddie probably needs Burton to feed to Beterbiev on one of his US shows. After that, it will be Buglioni- after they have been flogged to death then he will let Bustsi and Sims Jnr pick their carcasses

 

This. By the time Buatsi hits 16 fights he will be well ahead of where Yarde is right now.

Guy comes across a nice fella. Frank loves to build him up prob is no one has a Scooby if he is good or bad due severe lack of opposition he has to step up soon can't jump from.less than domestic to likes of beterbiev or bivol or even a faded kova he will.get destroyed.

 

Buatsi is an Olympic medalist with an amateur pedigree. Yarde isn't and doesn't.

think buatsi’s team aren’t in a rush and that will headline a sky card next year.

 

Not sure excuse is the right word, sound reasoning really.
It's not just the fights but the camps and continual training in between also.
You only get one chance to get it right really since a loss on the way up can tarnish a fighters winning mentality and send them demoralised, down the rankings.
I am with others suggesting that the comp could and prob should be stepped up, though I recognise a team would rather have the opposition two steps too low than one step too high.

This is my favourite thread title by a mile, always makes me laugh when it gets bumped near a Yarde fight/announcement.

If Yarde's next fight after this isn't Johnson/Burton/Buglioni or someone in the worlds top 15 then he is officially the biggest joke in boxing and his team know he's gonna fail when he steps up.
