On another note, what happens if Kovalev goes to jail?

Who would Yarde fight for a vacant title?

I think Franks PR team have put that out as a deflection from the opponent pulling out.

    Don’t give them ideas!

It’s Sven Fornling. He appears feather fisted but just UD’d Murat and is ranked 10 with boxrec. I don’t think Yarde would take it.

Lacy fought some top fighters to be fair to him, and won a title. Can't see Yarde ever taking that chance!

So Yarde original opponent pulling out is his fault? The replacement isn't great but who else is available at short notice?

There's plenty of good boxers who took the slow and easy route. Why is Yarde getting the hate?

Because him and his team claim he's the best thing since sliced bread, a world champion in waiting and way past British title level, despite not even facing any of the domestic challengers. Then defend their terrible choice of euro-bum opponents by saying they're only unknown by people who don't know their boxing.

Even the Kovalev quotes yesterday, he just doesn’t help himself. This is a man ranked in the top 2 in the world yet hasn’t fought anyone top 30 and only one in top 40.

I agree that his team have talked him up and put him in the spot light. When you look at other boxers over the yrs and compare his progress, it's quite similar. As I said plenty of good boxers didn't step up until way past the 20 fight mark. Maybe you guys don't know the sport and history well enough.

The kids had 17 fights and has gone down the WBO route, probably the easier of paths to a title. Fair play he's the one willing to get in the ring.

No he hasn't. Why hasn't he fought for the British title or the commonwealth ? That's the standard route. His team build him up like some massive star in the making, where in reality he's ducking the likes of Hosea Burton, while fighting cab drivers and bin men. 17 fights in is plenty soon enough to be AT LEAST fighting live opponents.
