**Antonio Margarito is overrated thread**

I dont get how you figure he is over rated, I mean the man just fought Cotto who was in his prime and undefeated and he stopped him, Floyd has not ever faced a undefeated prime welter or Jr Middleweight, so you tell me who is over rated? its a bit obvious at this point.

Absolutely.

I have respect for any fighter who steps in to the ring, because the risk is always there to lose, jeopradise your career, or even die in some cases, and thats' what makes Maragrito special. He is a throwback, he will fight any fighter his management puts in front of him, whether it is 6'2 Welterweight, or the recognised man at 147. That's why I don't quite understand why we make threads like this. Margarito spent the majority of his career in the shadows, nobody knew he was for most part, and now he is overrated because he just stopped Miguel Cotto. I disagree.

In any event, Floyd Mayweather Jr and Antonio Margarito are "both" great fighters, with contrasting styles. I can appreciate both.

 

You talk about us Mayweather fans being obsessed yet YOU brought him into a thread that has nothing to do with him. atsch

 

I am just remembering when they talked **** after Margarito's big win over Cotto. They never let him go. :deal

 

You are also a die-hard Floyd Mayweather Jr, and I've not once heard you say in this thread:

"Margarito just beat Miguel Cotto and deserves all the praise he recieves after spending the majority of his career in the shadows"

Because if you knew anything on this topic, that's what you would most likely say.

It doesn't make him sad that Floyd is not being talked about, but he is now in the shadow of Margarito and Williams, whereas before he was the main focus point. God knows why, he never done anything to warrant his popularity in the ring.

He deserves praise for beating Cotto but Margo fans overrate him as the next greatest WW. He has far to go before that even happens.

Floyd is retired, he has nothing to do with this thread, you are assuming what his feelings are. Stop assuming (like I sometimes do with Lance who is very vague on a lot of things).

 

Stop dodging my point. You brought Mayweather into a thread that has nothing to do with Mayweather.

 

Margarito fans only acknowledge that he is the best Welterweight in the world right now, and his last performance justifies such a claim.

Whenever a fighter gets praise, he is labeled overrated because one dude comes in the forum and starts talking ****. With all perspective in mind, Margarito isn't being overrated, he is just getting his due finally.

Thanks for acknowledging that Margarito deserves praise after his last performance. He is a great fighter.
