Leslie Stewart's resume is better than Chris Johnson's.

Yes, because he beat Marvin Johnson rather than get taken out on a stretcher ending his career.

Actually because Chris Johnson was stopped by career middleweight Herol Graham at 168 and was beaten by past his best and past his best weight Reggie Johnson BEFORE Tarver finished him. Plus Chris's list of victories is worse than Leslie's. That's why

Didn't Tarver lose to an old middleweight who moved up? Hopkins?

Tarver by decision, possibly late round KO.

Holy **** what the **** is this thread???

How can anybody possibly claim Roy wasn't done when Tarver beat him? Tarver never beat somebody as good(on that night) as Johnson from the Galindez or Parlov fight.

Marv one ups Glen and works Tarver over 12 or 15 for a wide decision based on workrate. Johnson showed he had no issues with tall southpaws when beat the living **** out of Mate Parlov.

Tarver only wins if he catches a Marv who didn't pace himself.
Bollocks. Wins over Parlov, Galindez, Stewart & Williams is much better than beating a shot Jones, shot Reggie and a glorified Journeyman(who beat him) Glen Johnson. Not to mention losing to old ass Hopkins and old Jones as well as Dawson twice.

You’re totally full of **** if you’re gonna pretend that Roy wasn’t performing at a high level in the Tarver rematch or that Tarver didn’t deserve to win against Johnson. There’s a reason why The Ring named him as the best 175 of the decade. Marvin never hit Tarver’s level.

Yeah such a high level he was KOed in 2... Such a high level that in his next fight he'd get slept for 8 minutes by a guy with a 48% KO rate... Who Tarver couldn't stop in Roy's third consecutive loss...
Yeah Roy was performing at a real high level. You talk out of your ass all the time about decisions. Stay consistent. Using your own logic, Tarver lost. With the difference between the 70s&80s to the 2000s being so wide, that Ring honor means very little. Marvin would do much better throughout Tarver's LHW career than Tarver did. Can't say the same in return.

He has a worse résumé. Parlov, Williams & Galindez >>>>> Shot Jones, Shot Reggie & Glen Johnson. He lost to worse people, and won the title less, with more losses at LHW. Marvin >>> Tarver.

Tarver doesn't have the workrate to beat a prime Johnson. His power ain't like Spinks'. He gets out-worked and thrashed around in a one-sided fight. Possibly stopped too.

Roy’s career fell apart after Tarver timed him with a big shot. For some reason that’s upsetting to you.

Harding/Johnson would be a good, competitive fight.

Roy's career fell apart after he lost 19lbs of muscle... We both know this. It's ridiculous to claim otherwise.

Marvin is a greater fighter than Tarver and didn't need steroids to do it. For some reason that's upsetting you.

Johnson would put Harding in a body bag. It would a one-sided beatdown ending with a vicous KO. The fact that you've even said this fight would be competitive shows you aren't familiar with Marvin at all.
