It has to be said, Murat - whose body of work in the last four years has included being dominated by Nathan Cleverly and stopped on cuts, beating two journeymen with loss columns in the double-digits, beating Otis Griffin as has become highly fashionably for top-20 light heavies in the last decade, and getting a gift draw against Gabriel Campillo - might not deserve the shot as much as Tarver would, and it's debatable as to whether he'll even make it "more exciting" than what most fans believe would be a nose-plugging stinker in Hopkins vs. Tarver II.
Green won't fight Tarver again. He was picked because he is a big name,barely active and looked horrible in his last 3 fights 2x lopsided losses to Dawson and a decision win at HW against that guy who got blasted out in 2 rounds against I think Arreola on the undercard I think of Ward-Abraham. Not sure of his name think it's Aguilera. Tarver would be better off trying to get Hopkins when he beats Murat. Unless Murat gets lucky and lands a fluke punch or has improved sharply from the guy who dominated but still had a scare against Otis Griffin on the Geale-Sylvester U/C before stopping him late. Tarver beats him at CW,Dannyweight unless he has let himself go over his enforced layoff. Greeny will retire if he can't get a Mundine fight IMO.
Stifler is spot on, they picked Tarver because they thought he was shot and that by droping so much weight with such little time his strength would be sapped. Tarver is just to slick for Green, Tarver is a smart boxer, Green is not. Green fought Shane Cameron in his last fight and Green did not look to great even though Cameron is not a great boxer and Cameron was weight drained, had Cameron come in at the CW limit and not Dannyweight he would have knocked Green out that night, even though he was weight drained he still managed to hurt Green so just imagine if he wasnt weight drained. Green isnt a CW and thats the big problem. He cant match the elite CWs in terms of strength or skills. Greens next move is to retire imo, he wanted to go out ontop and he thinks by winning a shitty title like the IBO title does just that. The guys he picks to fight are either forced to make Dannyweight and come in drained, or they are what Green and his people see as Damaged goods ripe for the picking. He come undone twice against fighters who he thought were Damaged goods and i dont think he will risk it a 3rd time round. He had a doco crew taking footage last yr for his new doco that imo is his retirment doco. Only way he fights again is against Mundine but that will never happen as they wont be able to agree on the weight, however money might be the key issue here as both guys will be looking to retire with a hefty payday and Green v Mundine II would be huge in AUS.

i am not a huge fan of green but then again i have never met the bloke so , its hard to be too critical of someone i have never met . ty you seem to really dislike the bloke , do you know him on a personal level , have you met him on several occasions or had quite a bit to do with him ? just wondering where all the hate comes from ? is it from what you see on tv in his fights , or do you know the bloke and have reason to hate him ?
I didnt mind the guy when he fought Beyer and was rooting for him to win but he has done so much hypocritcal bs that its very hard not to dislike him. I guess the biggest fckup was when he called Briggs a K9 and basicly said he took a dive then backflipped the next day trying to treat all the fans like we are morons by rewriting the medical books claiming we all have a soft part in our skulls. Mundine irrelevant and then claiming he fought Siaca to smoke Mundine out of his hole. Going off his head at nurses demanding morphine. Forcing opponents to come in at Dannyweight, claiming he was weight drained against Mundine, the list goes on. one doesnt need to know a person personally to dislike them, plenty on here dont like me but none of them know me personally, likewise with hitler, many people didnt like him but not to many knew him personally.
