As Manny Stewart said during the telecast the unofficial pre-fight weights are just that...unofficial. There's not real procedure for weighing the boxers. Sometimes they wear shorts, sometimes they wear shoes, sometimes they hop on the scale and hop off they mark down something close to what it would be...so going off the 148 that Marquez supposedly weighed isn't really a good metric for judging either. Also, as noted, you're trying to compare fighters with very different body compositions and it doesn't work that way. Look at the pic of Floyd at the DLH weigh in. No way he looked that big on Saturday.

Leonard is two inches taller than Mayweather. If they had the same build Leonard would have weighed a good bit more.

I laught at people claiming that because of different body type, Floyd weight at 148-150, the same as JMM but he's just all muscles so he looked bigger that JMM who has put on more fat. Stupid even if they look the same size, the one with muscles will weight more as muscles is denser that fat!

But it's no optical illusion that Mayweather is indeed bigger! Bigger torso, biceps and forearms, legs and calf, **** even head. U tellin me that was just 4 lbs difference? That is a stretch already.

Btw Floyd wins because of superior chin and skills. Some fighters have all the physical advantages but doesn't know how to use them.

Marquez is a featherweight. Even lightweight is too hight a weigh for Marquez.
