As a Sacramento native, I can't help but feel proud. It has good venues with Raley Field, Arco Arena, and Memorial Auditorium (though a fight hasn't been held there in awhile). It also has a small but good boxing community. I don't know if anyone read the article in Sacramento Bee, but there was a small local boxing gym in the area that was on the verge of disappearing because of leasing issues but has since been saved from donations provided by readers.

I just hope it doesn't rain, as everone's predicting, for the people attending this weekend.
