    Look at all the great and relevant mexican boxers you just named, mixed against people from all over the world. What country's boxers are you comparing mexico's to that they need to be "saved"? If it's relative to the rest of the world and you expect them do hold half the titles, then yeah, they need to go a ways to get there. With any realistic expectation? They're fine.

    wilhelm,

    the reason why they try to downgrade mexican boxing is because they have been competing with it ever since pacquiao came on board. i keep telling these *******s there is zero comparison. the head-to-head stats prove it, the number of champs from each country proves it and the number of hall of famers and title defenses proves it.

    :lol::lol::lol:

    can't pinoys change their mind and start appreciating what world boxing is all about? it's not like until now, pinoys still **** on mexicans just because pac beat most mexicans. right now, most pinoys are already updating themselves on boxing.

    **** the stats. there are homecooked decsions and controversial decisions on that ****, it doesnt really matter that much. **** it! pinoy boxing is quite alive now!

    yeah, you are. you still act like a sore loser whenever pinoy boxers are mentioned. what are you mad at? some pinoys are not discrediting mexican boxing, and they know what it's all about. did your mom got buttraped by a midget pinoy?

    hyperbone,

    no one can argue that pinoys are tough fighters. everybody knows that. but why do you pinoys keep hating on mexican fighters? it's as if you people have some sort of fixation or absolute jealousy because in the end pinoys cannot measure up to mexico's boxing history and frankly, you never will.

    hell, japan and thailand have had more world champions than the philippines. word of advice, before you want to mess with the big boys you'd better make sure you are tops in your own neighborhood. :nut:rofl

    Saul Alverez ... if he gets or has a big enough following ... he can be huge ... he can challenge the big boys soon. He's young, experienced, all he needs is a world title to match and the same thing goes for Chavez jr ... and Omar Chavez (who's probably a bit more like Sr.) Chavez is an awesome boxer, who gets better every fight ... and I think the sky is the limit ... I hope that he doesn't press for a title fight because he's not really ready ... he's ready to win one but he's not ready to defend and retain one (if that makes sense to you)

    fitzgeraldz,

    i think saul alvarez can beat andre berto RIGHT NOW! i don't think he's ready for the other champions though. and yeah, julito jr. is going to be a good one. just because he's in the learning process now people expect him to fight the top fighters in the division. he's only 23 years old and his time will come. omar chavez has really been improving lately. right now he's 18-0-1 14 KO's. give him about three years and he'll challenge for a title.

    the heir apparent to JCC is Saul Alverez ... he's young, and he's gaining good experience ... I can see him fighting Berto within a year and wearing down Berto and beating him, if Floyd doesn't get to him first ... and reigning as WBC welterweight champion ... I think its all a matter of his fan fair ... I'm also sure that Mexicans are dedicated enough to follow him should he gain a title ...

    you're a good poster manta, seriously. I just dont know why whenever a pinoy is posting a thread about mexicans, it makes you angry and you keep on bitching about being superior and ****. can't you just ignore this thread and start acting like a man for a while, like what you're doing once in a while?

    Omar has more power (like his daddy) and is able to wear opponents down with power and will ... but Jr is something else ... he has no amateur experience and needs to really fine tune his craft ... he needs to be able to be in different situations thoughtout his championship reign and as of now he hasn't experienced that ... he has yet to make a huge step up in class and his handlers know that ... he should continue to take it slow and once he's experienced everything, then go after that title ... cause right now if he won it, he'd just be baby sitting it ... he should take the route his pops took and take it slow ... it'll all come after a while. He's building up his fan base and by the time he reaches championship status, he'll be bringing in the same crowds as his dad, but if he does it too early, he can lose that fan base he's worked so hard to build up.

    I also think from what I've seen from Alvarez he's ready for Berto ... I just don't know about his following ... thats the determining factor to big fights-
