True but nobody has ever decisively beaten down Hopkins, RJJ made it look comfortable but Hopkins fought differently back then

Plus Calzaghe is on the slide down and is close to being in the first stages of shot-syndrome.....he looked bad and only his stamina and heart won that fight

I don't overrate my intellect at all, I am often in awe of the writing done on boxing in the ESB, and I have been put in my place numerous times by very knowledgable and erudite posters. Sweet Pea and Cuchulain are two particularly intelligent chaps I have found, despite our divergences of opinion. I have absolutely zero superiority complex when conversing with those two and plenty more. And I will never be remotely embarrassed about how often I am on here. I enjoy it. That's that.

I am not always serious, I have brilliant laughs often with people on here, usually those I have had past disputes with, I just don't think that particular incident was funny at all, I thought it was tacky and regrettable. I can imagine Joe cringing with embarrassment knowing his 'fans' are glorifying it with threads on a forum, it was clearly a rush of blood to the head brought on by frustration at how ineffective his attacks were during the fight.

Never wrong? No, sometimes wrong. If you want some examples of when I have been man enough to admit I'm wrong on these very pages, just ask. I do think of myself as a bit of a connoisseur, but as I said, there are some guys whose knowledge vastly exceeds my own, of pre-1970s boxing particularly. I'm pretty sharp from 1970s til now.

I argue with anyone and everyone... again not true. I have seldom every had an argument in the Classic, where people are not so swift to attack you for any strong opinion. I do get into arguments in here, but they are almost all because I retaliate to insults, I try to keep my posts to boxing as much as poss. I have actually made some great friends in here and have had some great privatemail chats, so you are wide of the mark there. I argue with fans of a certain fighter a lot, but I always substantiate what I say, and I believe that me and reasonable guys on the other side of the fence like TFFP do respect each other.

I have no idea if you know anything about boxing, I never said you didn't, I don't recall reading posts by you before.

I will sleep very well thank you. I always do.

you can say what you please about me....I laugh it off cos it's a forum not reality....but you sir cannot take criticism without responding with an uppity essay

I haven't said anything about you in that post. You are being a little over-sensitive. Sorry if I have bullied you a bit.

Wide UD for Mosley by 6 rounds after getting tagged early

And Berto beats Forbes by close UD 2-3 rounds in it

I'd love to see Shane turn the clock back with a blazing stoppage, but I can't see it. Cannot see Mayorga winning though, not a chance. I'll concur with you on that one, and on Berto too.

It could happen with the stoppage cos Mayorga is as reckless as anybody I know that gets such high profile fights...but I'm playing it safe by predicting a wide/wide-ish UD
