After the second time watching him i have converted he is excellent, and fun to watch,Hes gonna beat Montiel ass badly.
Clearly Doug Tucker isn't a convert, as he gave every round to Navarro(maybe he's Jewish). Anyway, it's good to see Mijares fight someone with a pulse. I didn't get to the club in time to see his fight, hopefully they'll show it on the replay.
Yeah, you'll understand in time. We all have things to learn, for example, I still stand that SRR isn't the monster H2H that some think he is, but he's better than my original assessment all the same. I rank him in the top 5 WW H2H now and stand corrected from my old stance. Not so much for his skill, but for his chin, stamina and power, his technique was a big step forward into modern fighting and would be enough to land bombs.
That's a nice change, good to hear. I'd give the prime Calzaghe the edge for sure, because his footspeed and fluidity was much better, even though he was still a fighter. Nowadays, Mijares is kind of like a taller Calzaghe(for his weight) with a better jab and better out-boxing. Also, Calzaghe still has a high workrate, and is still a crafty, skilled in-fighter, but I am not sure Mijares's reach and outboxing wouldn't give him an edge here, considering Calzaghe's speed has diminished. Do you think that because of Mijares's tendancy to trade and get into slugfests at times himself, that Calzaghe would lure him into one and get the better of him?
Calzaghe is also a master of upsetting gameplan's, in addition to his ability and skill, thus making him extremely hard to fight even if you have stylistic edges over him.
We're ON A MISSION FROM GOD!!!! We must have Mijares FRONT ROW RINGSIDES!! This content is protected All mis-dis-confused, and real respect to Amsterdam:yep God's not going as far as one might IMAGINE, but he's a hell of a Super Fly Weight:good
Calzaghe is just a master at staying in your face and disrupting your rhythm. He lets his hands go so fluidly and naturally almost without thinking that it just forces his opponents to fight out of their comfort level. I love watching Calzaghe fight just to see the look on his opponents face like "what the **** is going on" look. He had Kessler completely out of his rhythm and looking like wtf that entire fight. Thats what you call straight up control and all out domination.
