I'm probably in a minority but I always thought Minter won that.
He outboxed him the first 5 rounds and had him on ***** Street in the 5th.
Second half of the fight Minter let him turn it into an ugly holdfest and it gave them the opportunity to give it to Hamsho.

Agree that the commentary was abysmally one-sided in its love of their homeboy.

Tough, close fight where a judge's preference on what he sees in a bout shows through. I love pure boxing, sharp boxing and not necesarily the mauling style employed by Hamsho. But I can't deny its effectiveness in the trenches. Anyways here ya go. Alan Minter vs. Mustafa Hamsho.

    Round 1: 10-9 Hamsho
    Round 2: 10-9 Minter
    Round 3: 10-9 Hamsho
    Round 4: 10-9 Hamsho
    Round 5: 10-9 Minter
    Round 6: 10-9 Minter
    Round 7: 10-10 Even
    Round 8: 10-9 Minter
    Round 9: 10-9 Hamsho
    Round 10: 10-9 Hamsho

    96-95 Hamsho

:thumbsup Very close to how I saw and scored the fight, except I'm pretty sure I gave round 2 to Hamsho and had one of the following Hamsho rounds even.

Yes I remember him. I also remember that the Syrian national anthem was so long that it was just shut off the speaker system. It didn't have an ending just went on and on and on...
