Fair enough mate, i take your point, and you are right about me calling you bin dippers etc. Thats a childish way of approaching this Just abit miffed after Saturday. Don't appreciate going out for boxing and getting beer bathed and coined for cheering my mate on thats all
Yeah, I understand that. I'd be pissed off too. I like a pint at the boxing and I can see idiots spoiling it for everyone and venues will be dry when boxing is on. It'll probably stop my mates going who are casual fans and I'll end up going a lot less because they don't go.
I've been to Scotland, The olympia, supporting Crolla, not had 1 bad word said to me or my mates and we behaved no differently than we did on Saturday. There is just something about the Echo that they need to get a grip on because it is without doubt 1 of the best venues for viewing boxing in the country. Not a bad seat in the house.
I don't theres enough security there for a start. And, I guess like it or not, Liverpool-Manchester is likely to need decent security. The Olympia tends to get a smaller, boxing crowd in wheras the Echo is big enough that the casuals tend to be in the majority.
Maybe he doesnt, but neither did he do anything. So your judging it all on his words and not what he said happened. People use the term all sorts of language when with thier mates or whatever, does not mean they will attack people because of this. The attitude they would also doesnt help, yet people here seem to display exactly that and get no grief for it.
I've not accused Macky of attacking anyone. Anyhoo, I didn't get into this to have a pop at Macky or to get into a Liverpool-Manchester pissing competition.
You did blame his attitude to being an underlying factor to the trouble though, which is like saying 'anyone who speaks like this is part of the problem'. When he wasnt
I do agree there is always trouble at the echo, everytime ive been there, its always the kids in the cheap seats, security defo does need tightening up. With that being said, although I didnty see any of the trouble start as it was all high up (I was ringside), I doubt it was just scousers starting it all it im sure there were people from both sides responsible.
Scousers and Mancs don't know how to be civilised. It's no surprise that the vast majority of trouble at boxing shows involve people from that region. Other than a few little scraps from people who can't handle their drink, i seldom see trouble at any London shows. Any northerners that do turn up know not to start any **** or they will kicked all the way back to Liverpool or whatever.
I have been all over the country watching boxing, london, manchester, stoke, I've been to Glasgow twice, Belfast. Never had trouble anywhere other than Liverpool (The Echo).
We came in, sat down, started singing crolla songs. At this point we didnt have a clue that there was scousers sat amongst us, we thought all the mancs would be together coz we got our tickets off crolla. It turns out that Crolla only had part of the block we were in and the other half were scousers. We wernt singing provocative songs just cheering on crolla. The coins and beer then started raining in and it escalated from there.
football fans bringing that side into boxing arenas doesnt bode well that being said, when i went to watch yafai vs gladwin, i was sitting next to the gladwin support, i was obviously supporting yafai but there was no animosity at all, good natured banter its ****ing boxing not life or death
