I'm thinking of doing a 3 mile run on satuaday morning at around 11 and then going training at 6/7. Do you guys think it will do more damage then good? Oh and if its relevant sunday is my rest day

That shouldn't be a problem. Make sure you eat enough and don't push yourself too hard during the run.

Yes. Run 4 mornings a week, a tempo run, track session, intervals and 1 slower recovery type run.

  10. i thought this was the standard procedure for most boxers serious about there fitness of course there are exception who cant fit a run in every morning but as i say most of the guys from my old gym would run every morning , in some cases theyd run every morning and twice a week the whole gym would go out for a jog making it 2 long runs in a day for them

Long runs arnt a problem i was just wondering if it was a good idea to do a fast space run (fastest possible) for 3 miles in the morning before training.

  12. oh ok , like the guys above have said i dont see a problem with it

I do it the other way round, i would say have an hours session with my trainer about 3pm, then about 8pm i will do anything from 3-8 miles with my hr around 120-125, I do feel tired but I find it also helps me mentally and also helps me sleep better of a night.
