this is the kinda fight scoring that you get when you fight in california, I don't know why people actuallly fight there...the scoring is atrocious. Mora was holding all damn night...he didn't throw **** for punches and call me old fashion but the way you win boxing matches is connecting on your opponent not running and holding. Yes mosley was missing a lot of punches due to mora's slickness but he was landing twice as many and his punches were stronger. My scorecard wasn't as wide as ledermans but I had it 115-113 mosley at least one of the judges had his head screwed on straight. Bottom line....Mora didn't throw enough punches to win this fight or even score a draw..what a ****ing travesty for mosley.
Call the commisions and boycott boxing. Seriously though, Mosley didn't think so. He seemed content with the draw.
Keeping in mind that the ref didn't do anything to stop Mora from holding (I agree that he should have) the judges did fine with what they were given. Mosley was trying to make a fight of it, but could not. Mora didn't make a fight of it, but he wasn't trying to. Had there been a fight, then I could see the case for naming a winner...there wasn't, so I don't.
Mosley won this, period. He outlanded Mora. I'm not using Compubox to say this, but my eyes. Mora wasn't offensive enough. He ran too much and forgot to throw more punches. The agressor wins close rounds. Mora wasn't fighting, he was running. If your gonna run, at least try to have a respectable offense. Throwing punches in clinch doesn't count for me. So don't use that excuse.
I agree that both fighter looked sloppy in there tonight, but I honestly feel Mosley deserved the nod. He pressured from begining to end trying to make a fight Mora didn't even try till after the 6th. Moras corner was even concerned they were losing, so concered that Mora promissed them he'll win the last two rounds.
What kinda Snake is Mora is it a "Boa"? Oh no, he's a Latin Snake. Well for being a Latino this Snake did a whole lot of retreating even turned his back on Mosley and ran a bit in the 3rd or 4th.
yep...it's a shitty thing but as long as the ref doesn't call it, it is what it is. After shane gassed (around the 6th-7th) Mora started to turn it up a bit. This was not the one sided domination Lampley was calling. It was an ugly fight where not fighting was just as good (or bad) as trying and failing to fight aggressively.
MEDIA MOS DEF NOT A FAN OF FLOYD.....SEEMS LIKE THEY CANT STAND EM REALLY... SO PROVES THAT "THEORY" WRONG...MEDIA SCORECARDS ALL GOT SHANE WINNING.. NEXT:deal
