Price fought two euro stiffs after a lay off and stepped up too quick with Hammer. Haye has also fought a couple of euro bums after a longer lay off and is now stepping up to Tony Bomber Bellew. Will Haye end up out on the ropes like he was vs Carl Thompson? No doubt Haye is vastly more experienced than he was then but the Kirkdale Killer is way better than that aged Thompson and Haye has been out of the big time too long. I fear for Dave, I really do. I think Haye is the favourite and he certainly believes he's going to win but he'll definitely be thinking "what if Bellew connects and I can't recover - I'm finished for good" and that's why he is feeling the pressure for this fight despite being the favourite. If he loses he is finished and it only takes one punch and whatever anyone says about Bellew, he's proven he carries power throughout 12 rounds since he's left Light-Heavyweight.
Haye carries too much speed and power for Bellew- it ends quickly. The fight is a miss match, and Haye knows that it is, hence he is laid back about this this fight. Price/Hammer was always a 50-50 fight depending on how you looked at it. I knew that Hammer was durable enough to get through the storm and stop Price. Haye/Bellew is a 90-10 fight. Haye is a massive, massive favourite. Haye is too quick and powerful- he ends it early. I would say within 3 rounds. I reverve the 10% chance just in case Haye comes in injured or gets an injury early- there are still question marks about his physical condition, given the fact he has fought for about 7 minutes across 2 fights in the past 4 years.
True in the sense the pressure really is on Haye. Knows that if he doesn't win emphatically he will be criticised. However, Bellew is 6:2 and upright and as we saw numerous times he is made to measure for Haye sadly. He will find a home for the straight right immediately. Can't see the fight going past 4 rounds and that's a generous statement..
its a slightly similar scenario but Haye has been clever and engineered an opponent who is a weight division lower who he matches up well against. Bellew isn't very fast, he's a fairly upright euro style fighter who will come in at Haye with decent power but he does nothing unexpected. If Bellew was more someone with tons of speed fast hand, slick, high work rate I don't think Haye would haven taken the fight. Price had some advantages v Hammer but he didn't use them so was then left exposed to an accurate puncher, with a decent dig and a good work rate, who was able to soak up what Price thew at him
I just think guys like De Moriarty and Gjarbage are no measure, just like the two bums Price knocked over before Hammer.
Fact is Hate doesn't have a weak mentality Like him or not he can fight. Price prob hits as hard but has poor feet , defence, is scared and has no jab. Much like I mention about CEJ . Power is nothing without application
