Anyone else hate the fact that The Ring features the same guys over again?

You gotta think about it from a marketing perspective. Who's marketable? Boxing is already almost a niche sport who's stars are hard to identify.

I don't see what the problem is.

Boxing Monthly is not a better magazine than the Ring. Yeah the Ring can be biased a bit, but the writers at Boxing Monthly are biased too. They are a UK-based publication so the British favoritism is clearly evident in their articles just as much as the Ring, if not even more so. Calzaghe and Hatton grace the covers repeatedly. Haye and Froch gets a lot of hype too. I remember their issue on Mayweather vs Hatton, and 75% of their "experts" picked Hatton :yep

I don't have a problem with the Ring's covers. They always go with the hot fighter. The flavor of the month so to speak. When Margarito upset Cotto, he got the cover and deservedly so (before the hand wraps incident was exposed of course). Much like Pavlik got the cover when he knocked out Taylor. And Pac? He beat JMM, jumped up to 135 vs Diaz, jumped up to 147 against Oscar.. he's been doing it all this past year, so the many covers with him on it are understandable.

The Americans prefer the Ring, and the Euros prefer Boxing Monthly.. gee what a suprise.. :-(

everyone is biased when it comes down to it.. even journalists, they just do a better job at masking it.

I don't have a problem with The Ring putting on superstars. I just have a problem with them putting on the same guy 3 times out of 5 issues. That's just ridiculous. Have some variety. Put on some up and comers. Like a Chad Dawson or Paul Williams. Not just Pavlik, Pavlik, Pacman, Pacman and Hatton.
