I miss him, he had different kind of skill. Speed, Heart, sweet science.

He was maybe unable to execute the sweet science to perfection but he knew it very well, and knew how to outpoint any style.

Yes it was when he was introduced to the public. Want to explain why someone who plans to dominate a division didn't aim for unification first?, why did he stick to his paper title for so long till new comers like Lacy showed up?

Cal was the bomb. Beat BHOP and retired on top.

Deserves greater accolades than he does.

yeap, he was more entertaining than almost everybody at sm and lh. he always came too fight...what great fights him vs dawson, bute would have been, but he answered enough question, he was the best at his time, beating the best, all I need too know and I am happy he got out of the game at the rioght time and not like roy or holyfield fighting until they have more losses than wins hahaha...

Nobody misses Calzaghe, we're all glad he ****ed off.

The boxing world misses Hatton, Hamed and Lewis more than Calzaghe

Ya that cause you got Tyson in your avatar and your brainwash in thinking that knockout power wins every boxing match there is. Enjoy the whole sport not just part of it.....

Please explain how Ward is going to be so much better? I dont really think you know some of the fighters Calzaghe has beaten and are just taken in by name recognition and hype

You really do need a history lesson. If you dont know you shouldnt make comments, but as you asked.
Ottke wouldnt face Calzaghe, this is no secret. Ottkes trainer even admitted this in an interview. Ottke was WBA & IBF champ. So in order for Calzaghe to get one of these titles he would have to wait for someone else to win them willing to unify. When Lacy won the vacant title it happend.
Reid as WBC champ refused a unification with Calzaghe, Woodhall was going to but lost to Beyer, Beyer didnt want to face Calzaghe, or Ottke as Ottke and he were friends. When Kessler beat Beyer and was willing to unify it happend.
It was probably all for the best because Kessler and Lacy seem to be held in higher regard than Beyer and Ottke (due to name recognition).
Calzaghe could have relinquished his title, but then wouldnt have a title to barter with and earn less, so he carried on and in the end it paid off as he won WBO WBC WBA IBF Ring titles

If you think Tyson was all about power, then you really dont know anything about boxing.

I used to box, and no im not brainwashed into anything and ive spent most of my life involved with the sport

If anything its people like you who are brainwashed into beleiving that a guy who hid in his backyard his whole career and then fought 2 guys who were over 40, is a legend.

Yes i have Tyson and Bowe in my avatar...funny because....i dont see too many Calzaghe pictures....hmm i wonder why....
