Anyone else surprised Canelo is fighting Trout?

risky fight for canelo , but thats boxing. Trout will give him the same kind of trouble he gave cotto imo

 

Well I saw him for the first time against Cotto like a lot of other people so it's kinda of normal.

 

I'm shocked. I think he'll win but I view this as a lot like when Oscar fought Quartey. Everyone was like why the hell is he fighting this guy with the Tito fight still on the table. Anyways, balls move if it does go down.

 

You don't go from 140lb Lopez to Trout expecting victory...

 

thats cause golden boy are idiot promoters. cotto fights ortho. canelo can't fight southpaws...so much they had ryan rhodes fight orthodox.

 

Maybe but The only thing is on the inside Canelo will be the one Bullying and where Cotto had great moments attacking with combos going forward where he actually hurt trout at times that's canelo's bread and butter and will hurt and stun Trout cause trout loves to be stationary and do his defense while trying to counter but does it with planted feet, also Canelo will be working on that huge target of body he has.... So it would be a pretty good fight IMO. pillow firsts ain't schooling Canelo, he couldn't even take advantage of a huffing and puffing Cotto with all that weight advantage and actually hurt Canelo

 

Where did you ever get this assumption, he said he has a lot of experience with southpaws and prefers to fight them because his right hand lands much easier. They never been a challenge to him. He actually hurt rhodes the most when he was in southpaw with that right hand.

Also Cotto was never a strong right handed fighter and you need that **** against a south paw and he was still able to hurt trout with his combos now Imagine Canelos straight right hand mixed to the body and head and combos unleashed, they will demolish Trout.

I would say first is a great match up. Second you can bet the house on Canelo. No way Trout beats him as convincingly as he did Cotto. If the fight is close the judges will score it to Canelo. I think that Canelo has the size and the power to out-point Trout. It's going to be a big step up and learning experience for him though. If he ever wants to get ready for Floyd that is a very good fight. He should fight some of the Molina and Trouts for the world before stepping against the p4p guys like Floyd and Sergio

 

Trout Better be Careful that right hand will lay him the **** out, that's not even talking about his body game, combos, power, and left hand and upper cuts, he mixes it up so well. But if he has to worry about something that right hand must be his main thing he should try and negate. A southpaws worst night mare, ask pacquiao.
