It's not the power, although he has more of it at the higher weight. It's the fact that he's changed his game to a more aggressive, offensive, committed style. He puts more power behind his shots, he aims to hurt more, etc.

 

Watch what Marquez did to Medina. One of the best and most clinical displays of box punching you will ever see. Marquez could ALWAYS punch. People slept on him since the Gainer fight because of some uninspired performances and losses since then. marquez is no joke. Even Naseem Hamed knew that.

 

very good question i belive it is a valid one because when the likes of a prime castilo, chico and cassa were out of the picture i belive the level of in the division dropped for sure

but saying that you can not take anything away from the fight last night because juan diaz is a very very good fighter
