Anyone finding the Froch-Kessler II build up a little cringe-worthy?

The first one a few years ago was a good fight sure, and the two of them match up pretty well, I'm a fan of both fighters but the build up is a little cringe-worthy tbh.

I wish I had a quid for every time one of them has constantly referred to the other as a "warrior"

Realistically, Kessler hasn't got another hard 12 rounder in him and is probably on the slide, Froch isn't suddenly superman because he beat Bute and Mack, it'll be entertaining to watch again I imagine but don't think its Sky Box Office worthy and with the claim that it's the "biggest fight in the UK for the last 10 years"...I just don't see it.

Yes, it's too forced to generate more sales. The more they hype on about it, the more people will buy it. The closer it gets the more hype it will get. I'm getting sick of seeing it on Ringside etc until 2 weeks before it!

"Warrior" is getting a bit much but I'm looking forward to the fight as a tear-up. I think it mainly got SBO "status" because it promises to be a very good fight rather than how good the 2 fighters are at this point in their careers.

It will proberly be the best fight in a British ring this year,he is long overdue some mainstream exposure and this is a proper fight. He has been overlooked by the mainstream press for a long time in favour of inferior fighters like Khan. Now he`s getting the attention, i hope he put on a great fight against Kessler:bbb

He'd get more mainstream exposure if it wasn't PPV. ;-)

I do. If he was a genuine star it wouldn't be such a controversy.

I don`t think there is much controversy, some peope don`t think it`s worth £15 of their had earned money and fair enough thats their opinion and they are entitled to it so they have the choice. We have very differant opinions on this fight and I can`t be arsed to cover old ground with you.I think he can finaly become a star,by being on these shows help and who would of thought Haye-Valuev would be a huge ppv fight, a few weeks before hardly anyone knew who Haye was but he sold the **** out of that fight and that made him a star and that was a **** fight.

I dunno. Its better than, say, Hatton-Lascano where a "star" drove the PPV sales. I am getting worried about the undercard though...

It's no more cringe worthy than the Haye v valuev build up!

I loved that whole David and Goliath angle. The promo they did for that was epic

It worked a treat,I had so many people who knew nothing about boxing talk to me about that fight.Froch is learning to play the media game and unfortunatly that is a must to breakthrough nowdays, because being a top class fighter is not enough
