i dont know, i think chisoras bobbing and weaving will make it tough for wlad, plus hes a lot faster than sam peter so maybe he has more of a chance than most people would think. also, what if he does win? where does that leave haye? :nut
I don't give him much of a chance at all, but give him a lot of credit for taking the fight. Boxers lose fights, it happens. It's got to the point now where even the fans are scared senseless at the thought of a boxer taking a fight they might lose, lose an 0 or taking on a fight where there is not a queen's ransom on offer. It's ludicrous, people in the past didn't care about this, at a time when boxers really were hard done by, today, even a moderately successful one is very well rewarded. "The money on the table is not amazing, but Derek has told me he just wants the opportunity to prove himself." Full credit to Chisora and his attitude. It's going to probably be a bit of a nightmare night for him in the ring, but at least he's giving it a shot. Speaking specifically, I can very much understand how people think it is a step too soon for Chisora, in a way, I agree with that point of view. However in general this whole new, 'he can't fight him he might actually lose', 'he can't fight him he should get more money' (like are you his wife with access to his bank account or something, you want to spend some of it?), attitude from fans of the game, does my nut in.
Honestly I don't get where people idea of Chisora "showing good head movement" and "bobby and weaving" has come from. Chisora is not, and never will be beyond European level. Thats why Warren is prepared to put him in this early in his career.
haha your right there does my head in too , boxing fans say they want to see good fights but then when one turns up they come out with a excuse that it shouldn't be made yet , it can make more more money in afew years ( who the **** cares your not a promoter).. ...and chisora vs wlad would be a good fight because u know full well chisora will give it his all unlike many heavyweights..
He is definitely more mobile than most heavy weights and hishead movement made Sexton miss on a few occasions. It wont make much difference to Wlad when he's punching down on him though. I see this going the same was as the Peter fight, Chisora might be able to avoid KO for longer but it is enevitable. Problem with this fight is I can't see Chisora having the snap in his punches to KO Wlad and there is no way he will outbox him because he doesn't have the range.
Maybe if it was bobbing and weaving... But Chisora did show good head movement intermittently against Sexton. He throws short punches in combination and uses body punches pretty well. He needs to use his jab to displace Wlad's, keep low and get underneath the Ukranian's straight shots. Once in position, he needs to commit to body work to tire Wlad out. Unfortunately, Wlad's been working on his uppercut - any early success Del has will be offset by Wlad's movement, and by the time we're in the middle rounds, Del will be exhausted. Look for a brutal series of shots to take Del out around the 8th.
He won't win like has been said i don't think he has the power to make wlad worry about committing. But fair play to him for taking it hope he doesn't get beaten badly tho.
