Guess you missed the 5th round when Cotto put Gomez down with a jab to the face. And this is not a very good reason for picking Gomes to win If you think the only thing Cotto had an edge in was speed you should stop posting about boxing altogther. It takes more than an "edge" in speed to beat up, break down and humiliate an opponent the way Cotto did to Gomez. Face it, Cotto is miles above Gomez in every category of the sport and it showed Saturday night. You either severely under-rated Cotto or over-rated Gomez.
I thought, through analysis, that Cotto would win the fight, but I had a weird feeling that Gomez was going to make it very competitive and possibly win. I did not expect the gulf in speed and talent to be that large though.
