I've read a couple of various threads and articles about Primetime possibly looking to invest heavily into boxing with a rumoured HD upgrade in the pipeline, more programming to build up fights and a tag-team effort with Channel5. Given the media mogul proprietor behind the channel, they certainly have the might - especially given the opportunity Sky handed them by ditching Khan / GBP.

But....money talks. A lot will depend on Khan's recent numbers with Judah.

Does anyone know how many buys there were?

I for one am really excited about Primetime becoming a serious player in boxing PPV.

I find it hard to believe more people bought Judah than they did McCloskey - purely on the time zone impact. If true, that's pretty impressive.

    At £15 a pop, that's £900,000 / $1.5m worth of buys at a minimum.

And they did F* all advertising to attract the casuals. If they got exposure on ITV and Channel5 - I can see these numbers only increasing, although the 4am time is always going to be an impediment.

Added thought: if Sky really are out of the picture until 2013 & ****** is rumoured to be leaving them- this leaves open the opportunity to Primetime / Channel5 to add even more fights to the channel and be in a stronger negotiating position to place fights for free except where PPV is warranted.

Yeah I found it hard to believe as well, I was led to believe 59,000 of those buys were Irish Dudey fans, either venus is lying or Khan/Judah did surpass those numbers.

If its more than the McCloskey fight they'll tell us and if not they will keep it quiet to hide the embarassment.

Actually I do know that 90% of the non-Asians that bought the fight only paid to watch Khan lose.
