    ...than for Dawson - Ward?

Probably just me, I know you guys are really into Dawson - Ward but I think Alexander is at a really interesting point in his career and Bailey being Bailey (boom!)... it's a fascinating one.

Who you got? Are you stoked?

    :p

Dawson-Ward is the better fight IMO.

With that said i'm still interested in Alexander-Bailey.

Alexander has the tools to easily win that fight but it only takes one shot from Bailey to upset another young gun.

I'm more interested in Alexander-Bailey. You know how you get interested in fighters? I'm interested in both of them. I've never really gotten interested in Dawson or Ward aside form when the crossed swords with other fighters who interested me (Hopkins, Froch).

So it's Alexander-Bailey all the way for me.

If Alexander beats Baley then I say Give him another go at Timmy.

Maybe this time Timmy won't go for the headbutts

    But he will... The pos.

Both fight will be boring feint and bob and weave contest. That's how I feel.

I don't know, call it a bull**** hunch.

Im more excited for the Ward fight but this is intriguing a good boxer puncher match

Bailey paid his dues and it would be nice to see him punch his way further

i expect Alexander to dominate and go on to face big opposition like a Bradley rematch or one of the big 2

Why Bailey isn't gonna do ****, even if he lands on Alexander he's got a good chin, I can see Alexander stoppin Bailey more than I can see Bailey stoppin Alexander

Alexander SHOULD outclass, dominate, maybe even stop Bailey, but Alexander not known for his defense or ring IQ. He could beat Bailey to the punch all night and prevent Bailey from loading on his right. Pity Bailey is as one dimensional as it gets. He could of done so much more developing a strong jab, left hook, or bodyshots. But what a helluva right hand he has!

I'll be watching both fights. Exciting things for the welterweight division.

Good post. I think I agree with most of that. It feels like the type of puncher where the puncher gets found out rather than the boxer to me, but this is the kind of fight I like. A top contender gets to showcase his skills but you can't get off the edge of your seat because who knows, Bailey might land?

I'm not hating on Dawson and Ward because I think they are good fighters - doesn't anyone worry that one's going to be a bit boring though?

Not at all. Honestly Bailey is being hyped too much for his win over Jones.
And you know... Alexander is Alexander.. 21-3-0

I'm really looking foward to Ward-Dawson but I'm not very excited about Alexander-Bailey.

Ward-Dawson is a match up between two of the top 10 fighters in the world(Ward top4-5) who are both at/near their peaks in a pretty even match up. It might not be fight of the year but I think its a bit better than most think(from an action stand point) and its just an overall intriguing fight.

Alexander-Bailey will probably be a one-sided fight where Alexander wins most rounds comfortably. I think this is going to be a dull fight without the overall class that Ward-Dawson will display.
