He's mentioning Pac's name to hype his fight against Ortiz. "to all boxing fans, I'll fight Pacquiao next but please watch The Floyd/Ortiz fight on Sept. 17" floyd

Yes, this fight has been on his mind. It's been haunting him and is gonna cause him to go on vacation once Pac has no fight lined up :deal

hmmm well if I had to think of 5 ways to beat Pacquiao . . . .

    1. Body Punching - Something that can hurt Pac to this day, Margarito managed to get a few good shots in that troubled Pacquiao and this is the reason Manny will not fight Martinez. Floyd however does not have the power exploit this weakness

    2. Counter Punching - Juan Manuel Marquez showed how its done and with Floyd being bigger and faster this is probably his best bet. wait for Manny to throw then make him miss and make him pay. However due to Floyds stance and his trouble against southpaws I think that he could be tailor made for Manny and vice versa, they are both able to exploit each others weakness

    3. Rough Housing - Dont tell me it doesnt happen in boxing and isnt able to get you a win. Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, Evander Holyfield, Bernard Hopkins . . . . its a good way of slowing Pacquiao down and changing the momentum. barrera did it in their second fight and Mosley was able to at least score a "knockdown" with a push. it could alter the result

    4. Establishing the jab - Pacquaio seems to be off put by the jab, you control the jab - you control the fight

    5. Head Movement - "Slick African American Fighters" as the term has been flung around. Mayweather needs to use his head movement to keep Pacquaio missing and as said before make him miss and make him pay . . . .

So yeah theres 5 ways to beat Pacquiao

He's talking about Pacquiao's 3 actual losses and he's saying Marquez beat him 2 times.

That equals 5 ways to beat him.

    Brilliant isn't it

Oh...without question! PAC's been on Floyd's mind but to say he's all the sudden switched gears in terms of how he preps for his fights....I don't think he's gonna do anything different for PAC. He doesn't watch or strategize before facing anyone...nor do I think he'll change that track record just b/c it's PAC. He knows he'll have to be prepared physicall and mentally to beat Manny and I fully expect Floyd to come in tip top shape.

Sorry to be anal but Chavez junior has a draw on his record so Floyd's logic would mean there was a blueprint on Chavez Jr.

    Good point, bad example.

Tech he has a loss to Huessein if you know how to count to ten you would know that Manny was on that canvas for about 20 seconds.....

It's not about power. Accuracy and timing is key for bodyshots. Morales and Marquez definitely don't hit as hard as the welters manny fought but were able to hurt manny with well placed bodyshots.

A clean bodyshot will knock the air out of its recipient.

This is probably the biggest misconception about Floyd. Floyd only pretends that he doesn't watch a lot of fights.

    Ortiz should've said:

"Yea, there were 0 ways of beating Berto too, till I hit him so hard his legs didn't know where his body was going".

I agree. He does not seem to be the type to watch fights. Too much time spent thinking about someone else. I remember Pernell Whitaker once saying he never watched tapes of his opponents.
