Anyone see Kenny Egan in the final? Robbed

GazOc, so Egan NOT getting about 5-6 points or more and the Chinese lad GETTING at least 3-4 phantom points isn't a robbery?

Despite Kenny being very slow for some of the fight you need to watch it again i think, he landed many times without reward and the Chinese was quote 'shadow boxing' and getting points for it

I havn't seen it, but I'll assume he was robbed on the basis Chinese people can't box.

 

It's good you brought that up because I saw 3 punches scored for the Chinese fighter in replays after the fight which didn't meet this criteria and another two during it.

While in a 10 second replay I saw 4 shots that should of scored for Egan as they did meet the criteria.

Punches must also hit the target area, not the other fighter glove(which resulted in +1 for Xiaoping)

 

Saw a couple of the chin chon chinamans punches land but not count. Fair result.

 

I had no problem with the result. Jim Neilly had obviously decided before the fight started that it was going to be a robbery and commentated accordingly. There was a point when Jim shouted "What about that one?" when it didn't seem a punch had even been thrown, let alone landed. Also, the Chinaman landed a fair few punches that weren't scored but that idiot Neilly didn't complain then.

 

Looks like the only people calling robbery are the Irish. :huh

I've seen bad decisions and I've seen robberies, this was neither.

I thought it was a robbery. At some points in the 4th Egan landed sweet punches and the point went to the other way, that's a 2 point swing and it happened more than once. Nothing new, it was happening all 2 weeks.

 

I stayed up to watch the fight (working nightshifts) it was an absolute joke. How many times did Egan catch him with a punch and the chinese fella scored??
He must have landed at least 5 good body shots that didnt score and picked up at least 5 points in the last round but only scored 1.

He was also very gracious in defeat when interviewed by BBC not slating anyone or blaming anyone, just took it on the chin knowing fine well he had been robbed.

 

i thought it was a robery to be honest, egan landed some lovely shots that should of scored, noticeably the left uppercut, half expected it from the chinese

It was a poor performance, not a robbery

 

if anyone says that fight was not a robbery and was scored properly they need to seriously realise what they are doing on a boxing forum because some of the scoring in that fight was shocking

 

Zhang lost 3 fights in the Olympics.

Beterbiev supposedly landed zero punches over the last 3 rounds against Zhang and lost, when you could see many punches landing. The judges will not count punches against Zhang.The judges are ****ing scum.

The Irish have my regards, the only chance Eagan had was to win by KO. But the Chinese ****** holds every two seconds, and jumps to the ground to avoid getting hit.
