Anyone staying up for Darchinyan-Arce?

I ****ing fell asleep in round 4 of the Kid Diamond fight, woke up in round 6 of the main event and then promptly fell asleep again in round 7. ****ing gutted...

 

That Kid Diamond/DeMarco fight was pretty decent as well. DeMarco is probably at about the same stage of his career as Amir Khan. Based on what I saw last night, Amir would make an easy night's work of him.

 

Yep, it was shaping up as a good fight but I just couldn't keep my eyes open. Guess I've been working too hard....;O)

 

Im sure you lads know this is being repeated 12.00 mid day today on Setanta 1 and @ 16.30 this afternoon on Setanta 2 . :good

Vic is a speedy little ******* isn't he? Impressive that he avoided taking any significant head shots with that defence of strange stance of his.
I was disappointed by Arce. Thought the Top Rank commentators really overplayed how well he was doing. :nono That figures I guess

 

Chinny i'm glad you said that, after the 8th the top rank team were talking about Arce being down by a couple of rounds whereas i had 7-1 to Vic (i only gave Arce the 3rd)

 

great little scrap last night.arce showed a gud chin last night.but i hate the fact it goes down as a T.K.O,when it was a cut,so in theory its nothing like a TKO,and the cut was no where near as bad as chagaevs last night but that was allowed to carry on

TKO encompasses a wide number of reasons for stoppage, it's a perfectly acceptable term really. The Chagaev was stopped after six rounds so you got five more rounds worth of action in the Vic/Arce fight.

Arce was behind 109-100 on all three cards at the end of the eleventh plus was showing signs of distress during the eleventh. It was utterly pointless sending Jorge out for the last of a fight he had no chance of winning despite what his cheerleader Lopez said.

 

I had it 8 rounds to 3 to Darchinyan at the time - in hindsight wanted to give Arce a round for workrate when he probably didn't deserve it.

Really impressed by his accuracy drilling the big straight shots in but also his defence - hardly got his clean all night to the head with his odd style. Got to be top 10 P4P.
