these pac/ggg fans go on and on about how margarito had Floyd "scared"...yet they forget that arum said(when Floyd bought out his top rank contract and bob thought theyd still work together in the future) that Floyd had actually agreed to fight margarito no problem...but he wanted 4 mil total in more guaranteed money to fight cotto and hatton after that....2 mil more than bob would guarantee for each of those fights...and bob balked....then when Floyd started working with Oscars company bob lost it and went livid talking bout how "Floyd is afraid of margarito"......lol

its crazy how dumb some of these people can be...how they forget the truth

Pernell Whitaker was better than Shane Mosley.

It wasn't Mayweather's fault that the fight didn't place earlier. I have issues with some of Mayweather's choices in opposition, particularly from 2007-on when he became the star and could command the big fights, but the Mosley one was just bad timing. Mayweather won a title at 130 in September 1998, Mosley's last fight at 135 was a few months later, as he went to 147 to chase a fight with Oscar. Mayweather said he wanted to face Mosley then, but I haven't heard of any serious negotiations (which is what really matters) about it.

Then when the fight was discussed in 2006, after Mosley defeated Fernando Vargas the 2nd time, Mosley said he had a toothache, which was probably his code for "Oscar is one of the bosses at GBP and he is going to face Mayweather".

Floyd wasn't prime when they fought either. He was just far fresher than Shane......

There were people that could box with Shane, when Shane was in his prime,

Are people really knocking Floyd's opposition at 130 and then talking about how great Shane was at 135? :huh

Also, Shane didn't fight at 140, unless you count non-title, over-the-limit lightweight bouts, which came when Mosley was green.

Mayweather probably wins a decision, he's more skilled and intelligent, and adapts better. I can see Shane getting frustrated, he too often gets out of rhythm, goes into a shell, and looks for one bomb when he's taking too many punches. He didn't in the first Oscar fight, but in other fights against Forrest and Winky, even the Oscar rematch, he did this.

I can only put so much stock in Shane hurting Floyd in the 2nd round of their fight, and then losing the next 10 rounds.

did you let him finish in your mouth?

that video means squat...go read the fat dan article from years ago where arum is quoted as saying he agreed to fight margarito....but bob said he wouldnt pay him an extra 4 mil that floyd wanted for cotto and hatton fights ....bob said floyd "wants the moon"....which was funny because 4 mil is a drop in the bucket compared to what floyd went on to make...bob also said the oscar fight wouldnt work.....and bob was wrong....which is why he did a 180 when it did work and floyd started working with oscars company

a dummy like yourself cant see the truth thats right in front of you....

The Mosley that beat Oscar in their 1st fight beats any version of Floyd.

Floyd couldn't put away a fighter who was gone after 6 minutes.
