I think that there is always a fair chance that Kelly walks right into a big punch but I don't know if Jermain is to commit himsef fully to get him out of there, even if he catches him flush early...There is every indication that he will not follow up with both hands if he gets Kelly hurt because he will go into a thinking process if-this-then-that and will lose the precious little time to have the job done. Then, the longer the fight goes, less are the chances that Jermain has to pick up the pace and inflict serious damage... I think that Taylor by kayo is closer to unexpected more than anything else.

You never know, it is a fight that swung both ways last time.. Pavlik is a good fighter but jermaine looks determined this time.. (JT has always looked a dissapointment to me) but he is due a very good day..

“Seeking to forget makes exile all the longer; the secret of redemption lies in remembrance.”

Everyone keeps saying that Taylor is an instinctual fighter and he is too "dumb" to adapt in the ring. **** that. For Jermain this is about Redemption a chance to make right this wrong. A chance to finish what should have been finished the first fight.

I think Taylor rembering how he was knocked out is a good thing. He will anticipate the right and counter. Pavlik's porous defense and slugger mentality will be his downfall.

Sure Taylor could stop him he almost had Kelly out of there in the first fight but I wouldn't bet on it.

I'm old, and when i was young I did a ton of drugs, so my memory is not always the best source of information, but as I recall what Bronco said was; "It's not that he hits that hard; It's just that EVERYTHING he throws has something on it. I think this kid may be the real deal."

Anyone who beats Bhop and manages to draw with Winky (despite the controversy) cant be that stupid?! The only thing that concerns me is the dropping of Emanuel Steward. But still...

    Taylor on points...

He beat Hopkins with youth, hunger and athleticism (in the 2nd fight with sympathetic judges) but certainly not with ring intelligence. The draw with Winky showed everything that is wrong with Taylor as a fighter. A career middelweight in his prime fighting a clearly past - his - prime guy who was at his best below middleweight and some even considered the draw a lucky one...not exactly a testimony of Taylor's ring smarts.

Taylor made a mess of Pavlick in round 2. All that 'he stuck his tongue out' or such **** is just that, ****. Taylor had Pavlick in a world of hurt but didn't finish the job. And we all know that a lot of other refs would have stopped it there anyway.

So, course he can do it again. Don't forget this guy took Hopkins and Winky to the limit (however you scored them). He can also hurt Pavlick. If the 166 pound catch weight gives him some more stamina then he has a very good chance.

I haven't quite made my mind up whether he will or not however.

I think Taylor by early KO or late decision. I don't know why so many poster are acting like Taylor has no shot. Pavlik fought great fight last time. Even with that said, he should've been knocked out in the 2nd round if Taylor would have simply sat on his punches and threw accurate straight shots and uppercuts mixed with body punches. Taylor was just throwing wild and to the head which, even if your hurt, is very predictable to block. It's a testament that Pavlik survived, but it's also a testament to the poor job Taylor did of finishing.

I think losing the title by knockout might have been the best thing to happen to Taylor. He wasn't hungry after he won the title and as a result, he didn't improve technically because he wasn't really to put in the work. Now that he lost it, he knows that his career is in jeopardy and another KO loss would relegate him to Friday Night Fights. I think Taylor comes in much more improved this time around.

That is exactly the point. Was he so poorly trained that he didn't know HOW to finish a fight? Come one. He should know this by now! And it gets back to the point people are making about his being an 'instinctive' fighter.

    AGREED!
