Yes he looked quite decent, think he's had a good couple of seasons in Portugal so I expect someone will take him. Coentrao is quite a good LB too.
Why in gods name did City firstly get Vieria and then keep him for another year? He's so ****ing **** these days...he makes Berbatov look extremely fast. So pointless when they've got De Jong and Toure.
I liked the look of Coentrao came out of nowhere to me. I can't see meireles moving very good player but is on the wrong side of 25 and the Portuguese teams like to milk the money for their players. They got 20 mill for Anderson an unproven youngster so **** knows what they will be looking for Raul.
I don't get the impression Mereies is hugely sought after though. I don't think Chelsea, Barca, Madrid or anybody are in for him whereas Anderson was probably scouted by many at the time. He's only 27, if anybody wanted a midfielder in his prime that could last maybe 5 years he's perfect. You don't always need youth. I mean I don't think we should be buying 29 or 30 year olds with out debt but 27 is about right if you want a finished article.
vieira should of been brought to the glue factory or France after Inter he has been **** since Juve went down. Good to see Ireland make the first team although he is a complete **** he is a very good footballer. Postiga I remember he couldn't buy a goal at Spurs then went on to help put England out of the Euro's and **** off.
It will be a great free transfer if he's actually fit. It looks like Liverpool got the better end of that deal with Benayoun but Benayoun was a good player for Liverpool that actually played. If Cole spends a lot of the time in the medics room its not going to be so great. You should of kept Benayoun too IMO.
I know what you mean but I can see Porto asking for something mental for him. Ever since they won the Champions League the prices for a player in Portugal have went through the roof and most don't add up to the price tag. A bit like the Owen one for Utd i thought except less risk and less criticism. Joe when he is fit would walk onto most teams the thing is he is usually fit for one week these days. Very surprised with the amount of players leaving Liverpool although they are sub standard they don't seem to be making the money to buy improvements in.

Degen ... you sure he played for liverpool :think I was surprised to see Insua go for 5 mill although he is a bit **** he was young and unlike most left backs could actually cross the ball occasionally. Benayoun being sold was a bit random as well when he played he actually looked good. Not to sure who they can sign for cheaper who match up the same. Auerillo the times i seen him which weren't many also looked decent and he went on a free. Hopefully Rafa brings his "talented" selection of players to inter i really hate inter for some reason.
Hmm yeah they've shipped out all their left-backs which is a bit strange. Would have made sense to get rid of Aurelio cos he's always injured and bring in an established LB and have Insua as the understudy. Don't think he's that bad TBH especially as a backup.
Insua was just too slow for the Premiership, he'll do OK in Spain. Auerlio was a very good FB but injury prone and 30. We should have just stuck with Steve Warnock really....atsch
