118-110 was off. Was a close fight, you would have to give every close round (and there were many) all to Adamek to get that score. Anybody catch the punch stats?
i dont think Arreola would be a good fight for him next, let him fight a Mormeck (whos at heavy now) or a Toney (or Cunningham at HW) then get ko'd by a klitchsko or in with Haye if he's available.
Adamek should trim down for the Arreola fight, because he wont knock him out or bully him and will have to outbox him and win on points. I hope this fight happens though. I think people are underrating Arreola all of a sudden and might be in for a disappointment
I don't know what Estrada was on about. He won I think I gave him 3 rounds out of 12. He clearly lost the fight. As for Adamek, he did seem to gas a little bit towards the end, but then again he was moving around A LOT more then usual, and was the much more busier man. Combinations to the body, and head. Hit Estrada with some nice shots, but never went for the KO, it was not apart of his strategy or game plan. His team even said that before the fight, that they plan to go the distance. He beat a good fast boxer, and I think showed good speed, good movement. As far as power Estrada is not a good measuring stick as he has never been down in his career, and is not an easy fighter to catch. So.. I don't know why everyone is giving Adamek such a hard time. I think he did well tonight, exactly what he was supposed to do.
Adamek-Estrada 1. 10:9 2. 9:10 4. 9:10 4. 10:9 5. 10:9 6. 10:9 7. 10:9 8. 10:9 9. 9:10 10. 10:9 11. 10:9 12. 9:10 116:112 Adamek Judges saw it 115:113, 116:112, 118:110
Toney or a heavyweight Cunningham?!?! Hes got bigger fish to fry, Arreola or Haye makes business sense
He better learn how to avoid the overhand right hand because James throws it harder, sharper, and much quiker than Estrada. After seeing this performance I'm not so certain Adamek should even go near the 41 year old ex-middleweight.
I don't think Adamek has heavyweight power. Povetkin staggers Estrada in the tenth coming off a lay off. Adamek never looked like hurting Estrada, he looked like a fly swatter in there against the big bulky guy. And Povetkin isn't even a noted puncher, more an accumulative type. That is a clear indication if ever you saw one of where Adamek's power is. He landed the punches...
