How the f*ck do you know? It is better to say that these other fighters that you mentioned would not be so wild to get caught with a shot like that. But, if caught flush, who's to say that these other guys wouldn't have been flattened?

Not so sure if you saw the reaction from the punches he took from shane in round 2, this one looks quite a tad harder and better placed than that one.
The others is the question really... I doubt DLH could have taken it, Shane maybe, Pryor maybe, JCC maybe.

Absolutely correct. This is one of the key technigues of those who try to deny the existence of glass jaws.

his chin hasn't been tested that much to suggest that he could've taken that pac punch. at least the others had been.

Because the shot while good wasn't all that. Hatton's punch resistence was gone by then. I would even say a prime Hatton could have taken it. He ate some bombs from Zoo who punched harder at 140 than Pac does.:deal

Ah no Shane punches harder at 147 than Pac does at 140.:deal That shot Corely hit PBF with at 140 was just as wicked and he didn't see it coming PBF took it recovered fine and dominated Corley in that same round. PBF's chin is much better than people want to give him credit for the guy has only been hurt a few times in his career and never been dropped.

Mayweather got dropped by Judah ... it might have been a off balance shot and he wasn't really hurt but his glove still touched the canvas.

Ref being blind doesn't make it less of a kd.

He obviously does have a good chin though and even more impressive recuperation powers.

Mavrovic's chin against Lewis was unreal.

Agree completely. People who use that phrase mustn't even stop to ask themselves why boxers with the best chins don't get ko'ed.

Tuffnutz is a poster repeatedly guilty of this :deal.

i think a fighter like Floyd can get stunned with a shot b/c he is not used to getting cracked with power shots.. Like with Shane.. He got cracked but you can tell he still was thinking and he only missed a half second of pure foggyness. His body didnt cooperate....lol too well when he did the stanky leg but he was not as hurt as dudes claim. B/c he fought right back and recovered what seemed to be instantly. He did not even have to take a backwards step or run to clear his head. That is why Pac cannot beat him. If you can crack PBF with a hard ass shot that you get one or two of and he still can think and box.. lol.. Your one shot chance is a lot less than you think. Pac saying he would of finished Floyd is a ****ing joke.

The alternate angles that HBO show of the Pacquiao-Hatton KO punch probably explain why people say no-one else could have taken it. It was a heavy left with Hatton going into it, but the angle meant that Hatton's head didn't get the opportunity to snap back like in a lot of the other punches mentioned in this thread.

As many boxing fans will know, a KO occurs when the brain is shaken up to the extent that it goes into preservation mode and shuts down the CNS temporarily. With all the impact from the punch going straight into Hatton's head, you can see why he went down in the way he did.

On a seperate note, he had already been down a few times in the first round and although he'd cleared his head somewhat, he would have obviously been carrying some damage.

Floyd can see pac's wide punches...he isnt ricky hatton...he woulda moved and countered on that wide punch he landed on hatton...hatton dont have the technical game nor the footwork to counter that shot..FURTHERMORE HE DONT HAVE THE REFLEXES TO GET AWAY IN THE FIRST PLACE..
