I don't feel satisfied until at least one fighter is lying on the floor either dead or in a coma, and his mother crawls into the ring crying her eyes out saying "my boy, my poor boy" and the camera pans round to his distraught wife who's desperately trying to comfort her traumatised kids. that's a real fight!
I agree with the fact these early stoppages are becoming more and more of a issue lately. Whats worse is the fact its the ' bigger name ' or the home fighter thats getting all these decisions in their favour .. I think whats making it worse is this just would not happen the other way ... there is no chance these refs would make the same early stoppages if it was the UK fighter that was taking the same punishment. Khan was virtually out on his feet against Prescott but was allowed to continue until he physically could not get up in time ...so its kinda odd that opponents against the likes of Khan are being waved off at the first hint of bother. Consistency is all we ask for ... and its something the british refs are just not doing which makes the whole thing look incredibly dubious.
The fighters know the risk and their corner should look after them. Premature stoppages are not good for the sport. It's getting to the point where they should start doing the standing 8 count again.
Its also the referees job to look after the interests of the fighter....sometimes a corner is too involved to make a rational decision
I've been thinking of copying another poster's style for a while...:yep Do you think you can tell who it is?...:yep I don't think you can...:yep **** manure...:barf
