Are Eddie's shows a little underwhelming given the stable talent?

To be fair to Matchroom, there haven't been many stinkers in my opinion. That said, there haven't been many brilliant cards either which is quite disappointing when you look at the wealth of talent Hearn has at his disposal.

I'm beginning to feel that we are getting (consistently) 6 out of 10 cards on regular Sky Sports when we should be seeing more 8/9 shows. We are being made to accept that these average to good events are brilliant; they really aren't.

    Am I being harsh?

I'm more pro Matchroom than against them but I feel their cards have plateau'd somewhat when he has a quality stable of fighters; we should expect more.

You might be right but a lot of the guys are yet to find their level which is why he hasn't got brilliant shows each week. He has a very young and inexperienced stable, with the likes of AJ, Campbell, Smith, Warrington, Selby, Fielding, Davies, Edwards, Ryder and so on. Once they get better and step up as they are doing you will see better fights and better nights. Also there were a good few guys out last year like Fielding, S. Smith, Macklin and even Froch, its tough to put on a great show without a great name headlining it. Wembley shows was great but that had that name at the top of the bill in Froch and that is what he lacks at the minute.

Have always said in terms of bang for buck the small hall shows are the best bet, most of the time you'll know ****** all about the fighter and they're pretty evenly matched usually, eddie is in the process of building a lot of them up so won't put them in with each other too soon (callum v rocky), although the coyle Campbell fight looks on for this summer when hearn could pan things out a bit longer

31/1 without AJ is not 02 worthy more York Hall. If the did not have a monopoly on Sky I suspect they would have looked for a big name filler for the show

I have always been a fan of Hearn and he has been lucky with injuries to headliners yesterday but I have been disappointed he had time to get a good replacement in for Joshua and Crollas respective fights as headline acts and never bothered. He cancelled Crollas bill, but no doubt AJs bill had sold more tickets so did not want to s**** that one.

Yup, was embarrassing seeing the likes of hatton and shea neary being called 'world champions' because of their wbu belt, surprised wazza hasn't tried to claim derry is trying to become a two weight world champion as he was the SFW wbu champ once upon a time

Yeah I would like to see some shows at Chepstow, Lingfield, give the stable some more exposure.
