Juan Diaz
Katsidis
Romanov
Cassamaya
Julio Diaz
Raheem
Morales (hes done it once)

Amir Khan could probably take David Diaz. David isnt technically coming off a loss but many had Morales out pointing him despite the late rally he was getting outboxed for the majority of the fight by a shot Morales

 

None of these are BIG P4P fights. All were coming off losses. None were the best in the division when Pac got to them. The best 2 were WAY past their prime.

I don't have a problem with this if Pacquaio fights a big name next. I'll be happy with any of the top 5 from my list, but David Diaz is poor.

Pacman hasnt fought the best in a division since Marquez and we saw him lose around 8 round in that fight.

 

And going farther the timelime, took a two weeks notice to fight Lebwada, one of the best during that time, and dismantled him completely. That is TWO WEEKS notice for fighting a champion.

Note : Lebwada is still ranked number 42 by IBF despite being retired due to eye problem.

 

You can ask the same question to other top boxers like... JMM, GUZMAN, JC, PBF Juan Diaz and others.

 

At least, David Diaz is a belt-holder!!! Why not try to look at other fighters resume. Valero for example is fighting another BUM, not even ranked in the top 40 by any boxing organization. JMM for example fought Juarez who was already beaten by MAB twice (if you go 2-3 more fights, then David would not even be comparable to JACA, jandaeng, polo, SALIDO, ETC), Mayweather fought ODLH who not only fights every 2 years but but was KOED by Hopkins.

No one has the resume really that would satisfy everybody. At least, Pac fought fighters each time who are ranked top 5 in any boxing oragnization. Even Solis is a top 5 fighter. Can you say that with JMM, Valero, Guzman, etc?????

 

Nobody is calling JMM, Valero, or Guzman P4P #1, though.

That's because he's picking on old men who happen to be Mexicans.

Only Manny Pacquiao could be praised for fighting old men just pre-retirement.

 

JMM is 3rd/4th p4p. Just 2 places below Pac and his resume isnt close. Morales wasnt talking about retirement until after he took the beating from Pac in the trilogy. MAB was smashed apart 4 years ago by someone coming up in weight named Pacquiao.

 

But many is degrading him if he fights David Diaz. JMM, Valero, and Guzman what one thing in common : they are the current beltholders, while pac is not. Yet he is fighting the tougher opposition by miles (if you are talking the last 5 fights) than the three of them probably combined. Even the pre-retirement EM is many times better than probably Soto, Salido, Jandaengs, Jaca.

Pac Nuthuggers will say what they always want to say (not any different to Mayweather's, Guzman's, JMM's huggers). Some you will agree or disagree.

 

The only Pac-Morales fight that was worth a **** was the first one, and Pacquiao lost it.

Same thing about Pacquiao-Barrera II. Their first fight was his best win, an extremely good one.

A nearly 34-year-old Barrera who showed up for a paycheck (after a recent wide UD loss to JMM, no less) isn't a good win.

 

The only meaningful fight was when EM won? The part 2 was actually following the initial fight until the 6th round. And even a past it, faded EM is way better than than any Guzman or Valero ever faced. A past prime EM gaev a good account of himself against David Diaz.

The JMM-Mab fight was a lot, lot closer than the scorecards would tell you. It could not be described as domination of JMM over Mab (JMM again kissed the canvas after a legitimate punch). By using your own reasoning, the JMM-Mab fight was also meaningless (that leaves JMM with no meaningful win ever!).

 

Pac's comp is top notch...shouldn't even be questioned...
