Like i said it's usually the home grown boxers that gets this treatment. But guys like Darchinyan, Bika, Ndou, Tszyu never had to rob anyone they were just a class above the home grown boyz. It just show the quality of the home grown boxer that they have to rob to win fights.

Reminds me of when I was in England a little over 25 years ago.

Since there’s legal wagering, I wanted to place a bet on a fight. Only one that was happening that you could bet on was a flyweight in Scotland, Pat Clinton, challenging for the WBO flyweight belt against champion Esidro Perez. So I put a small bet on Perez, who was a veteran who had been in with a lot of good fighters and won his share, while Clinton was basically unproven at the world level.

Fight wasn’t televised but that night I found it on the BBC radio, which was kind of cool. The commentators were going on the whole fight about how Clinton was game and trying hard but getting outpunched and outclassed like 2-to-1, losing most every round. At the final bell they say he’s obviously been beaten but it’s a good learning experience, etc.

They announce a split decision for Clinton ... and all of a sudden the announcers are talking about what a brilliant performance this young lad had put on, how he just kept plugging away and banked enough rounds to take the title, haha.

    Bet lost, lesson learned.

Oh, and to answer the OP’s question: Wasn’t Australia started as a prison colony for the Brits? Robbery you say?

I've never seen a robbery in a fight for a major world title in Australia (fully fledged version of the WBC, WBA, IBF or WBO world titles).

Robbie Peden v Nate Campbell was mentioned. I was there that night & it wasn't. Peden stopped the guy in 8. Campbell was given a hard time by the ref on occasions but he allowed himself to sook about it which he should never have done. Campbell's sooking did more damage to his chances of winning than anything the ref did to him.

Farmboxer has already been sooking on twitter this week which is a bad sign.

The other fights people on this thread are citing as "robberies" weren't for major world titles (unless you want to consider Horn v Pac a robbery - it wasn't).

I've got news for you guys. When you bring in an import to fight the local up & comer, the decision (if it gets that far) almost always goes to the local. Doesn't matter which country it is. That's the sport that is professional boxing. If you don't know that, you don't know anything. Only the ring is square.

It will be history for me tonight if Farmboxer gets robbed b/c in more than 30 years following the sport in Australia, it will be the first time I've ever seen it happen (in so far as a major world title is concerned).

Apparently Dib's team and the Aussie commission were trying to force Farmer to wear some garbage local brand gloves for the fight but they had already agreed on Everlasts.

He's been spamming the Stifler's Mum thread for years hanging it on Aussie boxing.

Now that he's out here he claims to be feeling "real funny".

I think Bangin' Billy is going to make him look silly.

I understand you like to support your countryman but do you seriously think that Dib is on Farmer's level? Dib was not even that good in his prime.

I blame you that Farmy feels he is going to be robbed. You kept stiring him up about Aussie Robberies and now its got in his head..

It may even affect him fight night.....

Farmer can now smell a rat after the glove fiasco I think that he will go after Dib and stop him from an accumulation of punch's.

How you guys can denounce Australia for corruption in boxing after the blatant robberies here in the US. Nowhere is worse than Vegas & the NSAC its blatant there
They deny one fighter his previously agreed LEGAL Toradol
because he " Did not tick the correct box" LOL
While his opponent was caught receiving ILLEGAL EXCESSICE 750 ml of saline 24 hours before the fight all they did was issue a statement saying he did nothing wrong and give him a retroactive TUE for the saline THREE WEEKS AFTER HE WAS CAUGHT!!! I guess he ticked the box huh ROFLMAO!!!!

Teddy was fired because he was exposing the greed & corruption in the sport. He was fired for telling the truth
