So in order of most unwatched weight classes it goes : 1. Cruiser 2. Various ones lighter than lightweight 3. Heavy.
Good post. Tbh you probably have a much better idea of the practicalities than I do, and what you're saying does make sense to me. I just dislike the number of divisions and number of belt holders in boxing, and I'm sure there is a better way of doing things- even if I don't have a good solution myself. I still think the number of lower weight classes tries too hard to compensate for fighters of all weights at the expense of the sport in general (how is a casual fan meant to keep up?), but its difficult to argue against it.
I used not to watch the smaller divisions when I started getting into boxing, but gradually got lured into them by the great fights going there, and now I keep and eye on them more than anything else.
Nothing to watch at Bantam? Montiel? Mares? Perez? Hasegawa? Agbeko? Moreno? Darchinyan? Donaire? Are you even a fan of Boxing??
