During one fight, they showed that 42% of fighter A's punches were power punches, and 30% of fighter B's punches were power punches, so Lampley concluded that 72% of all punches were power punches! atsch


I like him, though. Despite all his wrong calls, he keeps things exciting.

 

That Bowe defeated every man he fought is a mere technicality. If Golota wasn't a mental case, he would have stopped Bowe both times they met.

 

He was totally convinced. Unfortunately i forgot which fight it was (i don't often re-watch punchstats), but it was no older than 10 years. Maybe Damond knows.

I think most people can score a fight better than Harold Lederman. I can't believe they still consult his opinion between rounds anymore. One of the more recent examples that I can think of, is when he claimed that he gave two rounds to Ibragimov against klitschko. Which rounds did he give? I didn't see Ibragimov do anything significant against Klitschko all night.

 

I think Ibragimov won the first and the sixth round by a small margin. I think these are the rounds Lederman gave to Ibragimov.

 

I didn't see Klitschko do anything significant to win enough rounds to be a victor. Punches to the body do count, and Ibragimov won several rounds by doing that while Klitschko barely landed a jab or two the whole round.

Holy cow. Are you for real with that score card? You think Ibragimov won the fight? Not even Sultan's himself thinks he won.

It depends how to distribute the even rounds. But I do mean that Klitschko didn't do **** to win that many rounds. He barely landed 2-3 flush clean jabs per round in several of them, to which Ibragimov answered with clean hooks to the body, to me those rounds are Ibragimov's without a doubt.

 

Seyna does some research. I commend him for that. Every once in a while we are miles apart. This score card and Kenny Norton being a journeyman are things we will never agree on.

 

I haven't heard one other person besides Senya even say that the fight was close, let alone Ibragimov winning it. I know some things are opinion based, but this is just beyond me.

 

Seyna can speak for himself. I find his comments interesting because he's based in Russia, and is less influenced by the media in the West.

I wonder if the Russia vs Ukraine angle of this fight was a factor for Seyna, who is Russian, and perhaps was rooting for Ibragimov. Speculation on my part. Ukraine and Russia are at odds.

Still at best Ibragimov won 2-3 rounds. Wlad out landed him and hit him with the harder shots in all the other rounds. If you factor in defense, and ring general ship its Kltischko all the way.

 

Well, tell me what did you give Klitschko 10 rounds for? For pawing with a jab, trying to put Ibragimov's guard down, and not landing anything of note the whole 3 minutes? To that Ibragimov landed good hooks to the body, which only a blindman wouldn't see and wouldn't score the rounds for Ibragimov as the result. As an example, how did you score round 11?
