Considering Vada is one of the cheaper testing agency and is probably considered the best, should alarm bells be ringing if a top name who could easily afford it does not use Vada?

Top fighters who are Vada enrolled according to boxrec are: Gonzalez, Crawford, GGG, Wilder, Garcia, Vargas, Jack.

    Top names who aren't enrolled:
Canelo, Ward, Kovalev, AJ, klitschko, Haye, Degale, Lomanchenko, Usyk, Frampton, Porter.

It could just be these are the guys enrolled in the clean boxing programme because I know Ward & Kovalev used Vada for their fights but nevertheless that's a staggering amount of top fighters not using Vada all year round.

In my opinion although I can't prove it and would have to wait till someone fails a test, I would assume alot of these guys are on a banned substances from amphetimines to weight cutting drugs like clenbuterol to stamina and strength enhancing drugs like EPO, Ostarine and HGH.

People are still living in a dream land in regards to drug usage in professional sports. You don't become an elite athlete in any sport without gear.

There is too much money involved for all the athletes using drugs to be banned. Can anyone actually think of a single person who would benefit if usain bolt was outed as a drug user? Sport would go into chaos if testing actually caught athletes on peds. They will never just legalise it either as performances/world records would not get any better, meaning everyone would realise they'd been using the whole time.

Ever suspicious. I'm more suspicious that they ARE testing under VADA.

agreed your spot on especially in athletics where the testing is an utter joke. The casual observer is so naive I've had countless debates with people giving them good reasons why Usain bolt has to take performance enhancing drugs to achieve those types of result, granted he is a one of a kind physical specimen just like Every world record holders.

Although I don't think it's the reason why they don't legalise it, the reason I think they don't legalise PEDS are uninformed people are unaware of how PEDS work they think they are these magic drugs that you take that can make you do all kind of inhumane feats. They don't understand that these PEDS really just allow you to work harder for longer and recover faster. You already have to have the right coaching, nutrition, genetics and training regimes in place for them to really work to full effect.

So with people being oblivious to this if Bolt was outed athletics would lose the marvel of 'wow look what humans can do' and would be replaced with 'wow look what drugs can do' which would probably lead to a loss in viewership numbers. This another reason why bodybuilding and strongman isn't as popular as it could because everyone knows there on drugs.

I don't know the stats on testing but I don't trust VADA.

Fair enough I trust Vada way more than NSAC or USADA but you have to remember Vada employees do not handle the testing themselves, they have Wada accredited lab technicians do it so unless you don't trust WADA or one of the labs they pick then fair enough.

Why is that? Surely there's something they've done to sour you. I have noproblems with them. Much less shady then USADA IMO.

Depends on the fighter, their history, environment and life style.
Some need it and some don't.
Some fighters booze it up between fights and even do drugs like coke, weed and such.
Some, like BHOP are totally clean, even between fights.
I think a fighter who may do coke and other drugs may be more accepting of PEDs and other enhancements.
Alcohol makes people stupid, and that's why drinks are free in Vegas casinos.

That would be true but B-hop refused Vada testing his last fight against Smith. I think if someone opts not to use Vada especially when the other person has to then that is way more suspicious.

Did Hops use USADA instead? Or was it the minimum done simply thu the commission? I read about this, but didn't know details. Thanks!

hopkins wrote a letter to the commission in crayon telling them he doesn't take drugs and he won't be needing any testing, they accepted that as proof
