all that is nice... floyd ko pac 11:hi: than you'll dissapear like the hatton fan who started makin the same type of $hit... ur fault:hat
Technically he should be laughing at you. Hopkins lost to Jones in 1993 so that doesn't count but what does count is that he beat him in this decade where it's relevant to the award in question. Yes, he lost to Calzaghe a fellow ATG who is also a contender for the same distinction of (FOTD) and Jermain Taylor who at the time he faced him was an A level fighter in two closely contested bouts. He has also beaten over the course over the decade: Tito Trinidad (ATG undefeated at the time) Oscar De la Hoya (ATG) Kelly Pavlik (undefeated at the time) Winky Wright Antonio Tarver @ 175 Tarver's natural weight Roy Jones Jr. (ATG) Williams Joppy Howard Eastman And the French dude you're talking about is Morrade Hakkar who was his mandatory if I'm not mistaken, I check later but from what I recall fighting your mandatories is part of what Champions do routinely. So in conclusion Bernard Hopkins would have been viable option for the Fighter of the Decade award. As was Joe Calzaghe As was Floyd Mayweather jr. Incidentally Mayweather's disagreements with Pacquiao winning the award stems as a direct result of feeling slighted for an award in which he was clearly was in contention. Don't kid yourself if you think Joe Calzaghe doesn't feel that he should be the winner. Or Bernard Hopkins, Or Manny Pacquiao himself had he been stepped over. I don't see how complaining in private would have them any better a person. Incidentally, I think Pacquiao is a pretty good choice for the award considering what he had accomplished over the course of the decade but Mayweather or Hopkins winning that distinction would have been just as well.
Floyd is just downplaying Pac's career as per usual, as he's done to many fighters. Rating him in the same fashion you can say Floyd hasn't really beaten an ATG close to his prime, lost to Jose Luis Castillo so he's not undefeated, brought Hatton up to 147 where he looked terrible against Collazo, handpicked competition, etc, etc. Pac is the fighter of the decade. He has the best resume over the last ten years given his quality of opposition spanning many weight classes. Doesn't mean that he'll beat Floyd should they fight, but he's proven more to this point, and deserves the award.
hope you'll agree to a lifetime ban bet with me. i have pac stopping floyd. (after the fight you'll be allowed to stay for 1 month then the lifetime ban begins ).
pbf is just like a kid sour graping... the 2 year lay off, as mentioned by others is what really gave it to pac....
