Pac is my favourite current fighter, but Arguello would win comfortably. You can tell the people who voted pac have never seen Arguello in action.
You guys should post this kind of thing in the classic forum where you would get serious responses. As ridiculous as the Pac fan's responses are here, you have to be at least baiting them a little to post this here knowing that everyone is going to have Arguello KOing Pac and giving him no respect. Arguello KO.
Agree completely, :happy I think the was one person who picked PAc in a post, but didn't explain how he would beat El Flaco Explosivo. Others who have seen Arguello have posted excellent analysis of why Alexis would win. The guy was good, not that PAcman isn't, but Alexis is step above.
Alexis is a step above but he also presents too many stylistic problems for Pac. Arguello was a tall fighter who could keep Pac at the end of his jab, a great boxer-puncher who could bide his time and drop the right hand early or late in a fight with the same effect.
The Pinoy Pac fan in this forum is relatively new to the sport, we could'nt really expect them to give an analysis on how Pac would go about beating the great Alexis Arguello, if they have no clue of the caliber fighter Arguello was. For those who have no clue, let me give you one..... ....at 130 lbs, Arguello was twice and maybe even three times the fighter that Erik Morales was. Erik Morales was'nt really a true natural 130 pounder. Arguello terrorized that division for years. I'm not exaggerating when I say that aside from being just an all out better boxer than Morales, Arguello was much more stronger physically, and a much bigger puncher in that division. In fact, Arguello I believe is that divisions biggest puncher in history. The reason that I compare Arguello to Morales, is that they had similar body frames and fighting styles. .....I'm sitting here right now at my keyboard trying to think of one thing that Erik Morales did better than Alexis Arguello, and I just cant think of a single thing...... I'm not exaggerating, its the God honest truth. Alexis Arguello was just too good, and too big, for any of the current fighters at 135 lbs and below in existence today. The *******s know me for being a big JMM fan...... .....Arguello at 130 lbs beats Juan Manuel Marquez, thats how good an all-around fighter Alexis Arguello really was!
I like both fighters, but Arquello's height and scud missile grade pin-point right hand neutralizes Pacman's assets. Pacman can't outbox him, so it becomes a war of attrition. Arquello, will probably get cut, but Pacman will end up looking like Ray Mancini when he gets driven to the floor. Alexis in 10.
order resumed arguello leading comfortabley now(thank god)come on people don't discredit this forum by shitting all over polls.
