What a right hand this guy had. Straight as an arrow, and delivered with speed and precision.

Brutal...everything about that punch spells pain. The accuracy, the skillful delivery, the weight behind it. Truly one of the best Ive seen.

Hearrns and Louis had great right hands, but Alexis' still has the best one I've ever seen.

IMO Alexis has the best allround form (despite a lack of super fast handspeed he was NOT slow as some say) in punching EXCEPT from Joe Louis.

Thanks for pointing that out. People always make note of his "slow" handspeed, but I don't think it's particularly that slow - just not super fast. He delivers single shots very fast, and more importantly, with precision. Chavez was such a good puncher in combination because of his accuracy, not because of any above average handspeed he possessed. Same thing with Arguello, I feel. The Costello knockdown was vicious. Alexis wasn't the same fighter he was, but he still had that right hand.

I feel Boza Edwards did well to not get decapitated with some of the rights Alexis was landing down the pipe.

His timing, accuracy, and technique made up for his lack of natural speed. That last gif where Pryor's head snaps back is just as amazing for the fact that Pryor was able to take it so well.

He springs right back into position, too. Great recovery. Any question mark over why Arguello wasn't there when it landed?

Technically alexis rght hands (actually pretty much every punch actually) are perfect. Its a beautiful to watch how he times them and then throws them as straight and true as he did.

When someone says "laser accurate punching", I think of Arguello.

Those rights landed on Pryor were textbook knockout punches, I actually think Im more in awe of Pryor`s ability to take them than the beauty in which Alexis delivers them.... & thats saying something.

"That right hand is straight as an arrow, Tim."

    Great right hand.
