Tyson did'nt take it to the media because Holyfleld did'nt hesitiate to agree. When Holyfield agreed right off the bat, there was nothing to take to the media too. In fact after Holyfield agreed without hesitation, there was reason for Tyson to hide that he ever made the request, because it would have then shown light on his mental state of mind heading into the Holyfield rematch. Had Tyson took it to the media even after Holyfield agreed to the test. The storyline for the media would have been "Holyield already has the mental edge" and the story would have gone on to point to that Tyson asked for a steroid test and Holyfield fully cooperated. The fight in the ring has'nt even started, and Holyfield has already won the fight outside the ring....... .......which btw would have been exactly the position Pacquiao would have been at, had he without hesitation accepted the initial random testing. Mentally, he'd have had a major psychological advantage over Mayweather. ......but if you're actually a PED user, you cant go the route of readily accepting because you're not going to have the self confidence going into the ring to get it done physically. Thus the predicament Pacquiao found himself in.

Big difference when Floyd TOOK IT TO THE MEDIA FIRST! Without even the mention of drug testing and without any evidence or proof to back up his claims about PAC. Plus....PAC did agree to random testing....they just had issues with the cut off and when that would be for the last blood test. If Floyd asked for one test immediately after the fight like Tyson did Holy, that would NOT have been too much to ask and PAC vs FLoyd would now be history. But Floyd asked for OLYMPIC STYLE TESTING which he had conformed to what he wanted. He didn't want TRUE OSDT b/c Floyd didn't want to be tested year round. Tyson actually wanted the fight with Evander...so he didn't create any obstacles to prevent the fight from happening. Unlike Floyd who started off with false allegations...then went with the demands for special testing....then went on vacation and all the sudden lost his "URGE". Had Tyson done that he would have been called a DUCK. PAC already had the mental edge having Floyd act completely out of character with the intial accusations and then the demands for special testing. Jsut the accusations alone afforded Manny the edge mentally. When Floyd ran out of excuses the public would buy he went on "VACATION". When PAC said he'd wait until after vacation we saw Floyd fly off the handle and made that racially driven video......then he lost the "URGE" to fight Manny. What can Manny do with that? You can't force a grown man to do anything he doesn't have the "URGE" to do. Not even his own job apparently.
