Chris Arreola seemingly has his fan support, however, that's not all that surprising to me.... Okay, the vato is a "FUN" fighter but, he has NO real skills or polish whatsoever.... In truth, he really has NO BIDNESS being hyped or promoted by the HBO network.... At best, Chris Arreola is a typical ESPN club-fighter..... However, if HBO was willing to televise Butterbean back in the late 1990's, I suppose they can air Chris Arreola and his fights as well.... BUT! If this Arreola vato really wants to go somewhere, he's gonna need to really train and improve his game..... ESPN is a good network to hone-up on some much needed work.... Right now, I am NOT on the 'Arreola' bandwagon..... Cheers......

I think even a shot Holyfield would've schooled Arreola last night.... I'm serious.... Arreola being so slow and sloppy as all hell, would be an easy target for even a faded Holyfield in 2008.....

chill bill. holy's an atg, but larry donald is nowhere close to arreola. timing, improvisation, and determination win fights. who cares if chris is slow as ****? so is margo, clottey, andrade, angulo, etc. alot of folks had walker as the best american heavy and the one to expose arreola, but chris did his homework. he's a brawler and you should know most brawlers don't rely on speed, but timing and pressure. the guy has over 200 amateur fights. he's got experience, it's the discipline on his weight that has people worried. other than vitali, i think walker gives anyone a damn good fight if not upset them

I can see or picture David Tua still being capable of bombing out Chris Arreola...... Tuaman is also a slob and slower than ever, but his hook is still a major factor---when it lands on a melon-farmer's jaw... Arreola has a horrid defense, so Tua's hook would more-than-likely land upside Arreola's head with a huge thud..... Down goes Arreola....

Larry Donald is a lemon.... I agree.... BUT! Larry Donald BOXED a damn good fight against Holy back in 2004..... That was Donald's best showing since he decisioned Jeremy Williams earlier in the '90s.... BUT!! Here today, Larry Donald is closing in on 40, and his days are pretty much over.... Peace...

Walker has power and potential (diamond in the rough potential, but it's there), but NO brains...and a shaky chin.

Arreola is a milder version on all fronts. He has okay power, but not like Walker's. Not much potential to speak of, enough to beat clubfighters and very flawed opponents. He's not dumb as a bag of **** like Walker, but he's not dripping with ring intelligence either. His chin isn't as bad as Walker's, but it's not great and won't hold up at the elite level.

If either ever obtains a piece of the world heavyweight title pie, it will be a telling low water mark and black eye for the division and the sport.

Whatever. There have been quite a few worse heavyweight beltholders than Arreola, including two in the past couple years (Briggs and Maskaev, and I'm not sure Ibragamov is significantly better either). Tell me with a straight face that Arreola is worse than Michael Bentt.
