Artur Beterbiev vs Joe Smith Jr. (2021)

I've seen Beterbiev buzzed but not sure even Joe has the power to put a dent into what appears to be a granite chin. If that is the case, this is going to be a beat down because Artur hits very hard.

 

Smith has never been KO´d. So you are flat out wrong there.
Hell, the man hasn´t even been knocked down as a pro.

Smith´s chin has been broken, but he only got stopped once. And that happened 10 years ago.
And lets not forget that Beterbiev got put down by Callum Johnson.

People talk about Callum Johnson as if he is feather fisted. He is actually a dynamite puncher.....and Beterbiev shook it off and finished the round stronger.

 

I was just making a point about Smith and his durability.

I hope they have a tear up in 2021. It will be explosive while it lasts. Neither guy will have to look hard to find the other one.

I hope it gets made. And I feel the same. As long as it lasts, it will be fantastic.
Smith has had his chin cracked twice and has shown tremendous resilience.
Beterbiev has been put down hard and he embraced it.

LHW is a fantastic division.

 

Smith needs to load up his shots to generate his massive power shots. By round 2 Beterbiev will be able to time his short power shots which will paralyze Smith. Biev isn't fast, but he has very good timing which keeps his opponents doubting their offence.

 

Smith has power and has a shot but I don’t think he catches AB before taking severe punishment. Two strong punchers, two great chins, this is a good fight on paper. I don’t see Joe Smith winning but it’s close enough to make it a good watch. Also, m the Covid shutdown has been difficult. I’m curious to see how much rust these guys have. They all would benefit from some work before the big fights. Not sure it’s going to happen.
