this just pretty much shows anyone who is willing to listen that bob arum is a ****ing snake, he would not let floyd fight prime cotto, then when cotto left arum floyd and him signed a fight almost instantly...

    Stupid statement by Arum...
MC already caught a beat down by Mayweather.

Although for some reason people tend to give Cotto props for "Giving Floyd a fight" that was also the most punishment Mayweather has unleashed on a fighter in years.
    (MC took a beating.)

    Exactly.

Its always Floyd ducked Cotto. Some of these ****s don't realize Floyd was calling for a Cotto fight after Cotto was sitting ringside watching the destruction of Gatti. Arum said he wasn't ready even though Cotto was 31-0 at the time.

the interview was useless. roger didn't see the fight...and he didn't know who the opponent was....and of course he's going to say his nephew beat cotto's ass. i wouldn't expect him to say anything different. that's what u call posturing. it's what coaches/fighters/family members do...protect their own.

to say floyd beat cotto's ass is a stretch. cotto gave him a run for his money. floyd didn't let cotto bust his nose....or pin him to the ropes..that's bull****. if u believe that i have a bridge i wanna sell u.

these guys with their cameras and their playground motives/questions crack me up. there are way too many guys doing it and it's getting old.

floyd sr saw the fight. his assessment is on point for the most part. i'll just say that you never saw rodriguez get beat the way cotto beat him...and yes, cotto did exactly what he should have with an opponent like that. the real question is....who predicted that he would? most thought it would be a tough fight. it wasn't at all.

i do believe that cotto already had all the tools he put on display prior to hooking up with freddie...i don't believe that cotto could have done that on his own though. fighters need a good second pair of eyes...and guidance. freddie brought it out of him again. floyd sr knows this....it's why he said the fight/rematch would be different with him in lil' floyds corner. floyd is still pissed at freddie for the whole beef when floyd sr asked for 2mil to train oscar to beat his son. freddie said floyd sr wasn't worth it and stepped in for 500k. stuff like that is not soon forgotten...especially when your next pay day isn't guaranteed in boxing. i can't blame floyd sr for doggin freddie whenever he gets the chance. i'd probably do the same if i was in his shoes.

It would be in Cotto's best interest not to fight Floyd again, especially this version of Floyd since his father took over as his trainer.

Cotto didn't win more than 3 rounds in their last fight, where Floyd was more than happy to fight in a flat-footed manner for a good portion of the fight, and fight inside the pocket.

This version of FLoyd would dominate Cotto even worse, as good as a fighter as Miguel is, Floyd would make him look like an amateur in the rematch. His footspeed, handspeed and counterpunching ability would be way too much for Miguel. Cotto doesn't have one trait superior to Floyd, maybe his body-punching but even that i'm not too sure about since Floyd lands at a much higher % to the body whereas Miguel's body punches hurt more.
