Arum : Mayweather wants nothing to do with me.

On the subject of Mayweather vs Cotto 1 it wasn't that close, closer than anyone recently but a rematch ? really ?

Cotto won three rounds. The fight was competitve but not close. There's a difference. After the fight floyd saw his defence was lacking. Most likely because of rogers declining heath, so he got his dad back. After losing both the may and trout fight cotto did the same thing knowing he needed a change. If they fight again. Cotto gets beat worse. Arums an idiot. If he could sell it to the public floyd would love to fight cotto again. Easy payday against a fighter he's already beaten and knows that he can buzz or hurt. With that being said, floyd needs to stay at 147. He's stronger and faster in that weight class. Its just the smart thing to do.

I would pay to see a rematch, but not after Cotto last fight. I would prefer Cotto to fight Canelo or even Martinez to see where he's really at. Should he beat either guy, then bring on Mayweather vs Cotto 2.

What a joke! Cotto is riding that Freddie Roach style and it's deceiving people again. Cotto's defense hasn't improved and his ring generalship hasn't either. Put against a well-rounded opponent and he'll end up like Pacquiao.

People acting like the first fight was some kind of Floyd dominance from beginning to end is funny. Cotto was a few punches in some rounds from winning a few more than he was given. And the expert opinions of the AP had him getting shafted on the cards in the first place, as the vast majority of them have him four round and many five.

If you don't want to see the fight because you want Floyd fighting fresh blood then just say that, don't make spectacles of yourselves by saying ridiculous things that make the fight out to be as if were not highly competitive...not even Floyd believes that. Floyd broke away in the last couple rounds and that's it, before that, Cotto gave him all he could handle.

So winning 4 rounds out of 12 is a life and death struggle ?What I seen was a close fight for 9 rounds and then Money stepped on the gas and took the later rounds with no problems .

Knubknuts here are talking about Cotto beat a C class boxer on Rodriguez and that does not merits a Floyd rematch but you know what?

Floyd beat two bums himself on Guerrero and Canelo! What? Guerrero who came up in weight to fight FMJr. who has a proven record at 130lb but but a bum at 147lb.

Canelo? lol!!! What a joke. Pretty much given the WBC belt, baby'ed and protected by the WBC who sanctioned his inflated record of overly inflated 130lbs, padded record of taxi drivers, barbers and taco vendors placing them all in a disanvantage. Then whe you think that it will fight someone who could challenge him (Trout) the do the BS open score card and gets (Trout) partially robbed with the decision.

    IMHO, bums.

I'm a realist, and I know that Cotto's win over Rod will not get him the rematch, so he needs to go out and fight and defeat either Trout, Canelo or Martinez.

Mayweather also beat Cotto, convincingly. Therefore there is no need for a rematch.

Simple question... How would Floyd look against Delvin Rodriguez? Nuff said.

It could have been 11-1 does not matter. What it matters is that most of the rounds were a tost-up knumnuts. The judges were very, very unfair to Cotto's performance, yet, you got Mrs. CJ Ross scored the fight even for Canelo who SUCKED vs. Floyd and his performance did not deserve a single round!

The fight was much more competitive that what the score cards implied. Miguel's performace was incredible when compared to lets say Canelo's, or Ghost, or Ortiz, and when compared to FMJr's fights, Miguel got some of the best stats vs. Floyd and himself (PBF) has openly stated that Cotto was his most difficult fight yet.

Delvin will give him as good as performance as Canelo or Ghost. FMJr. by wide UD, a boxing schooling. No doubt about it.
