I don't believe anything until there is a press conference and both fighters are sitting at the table.

Rigo is serious ****, I find it disturbing that people who "follow" boxing would be this ignorant about "their sport". I'm not saying he beats Donaire per se', but he'd be the best fighter Nonito has fought to date, imo.

Really hope this fight happens. Both can knock each other senseless and both are tremendously skilled fighting out of their preferred styles. Easily one of the best fights out there right now. I'd probably side with Donaire to win by stoppage, but if the opposite happened, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.

Maybe now is a little too early for a technical breakdown, but who will lead in this fight? I'm thinking Rigo most likely, but both like to counter more than push the action.

This, stylistically, might not create all that tv friendly of a fight, even with a high level of skill.

And the fight with Arce wasn't a waste????

I prefer Donaire-Mares but we all know TR doesn't do business with GBP therefore Donaire-Rigo has to happen. I couldn't care less how many fights Rigo has. He is a far better challenger than Arce.

the arce fight was a cashout payday farewell fight from bob arum.

It was a staybusy fight for Nonito.

Rigo is going to get sparked badly because of his chin, then you can hate donaire al you want when he exposes this lazy cuban.

Then think of this **** as a tune up or stay busy fight before Donaire takes on Mares or whenever Arum is ready to let his mini cash cow finally take a risk. Stop complaining about how Rigo doesn't deserve the fight, because I can list endless examples of fights that Arum has made in which fighter B was undeserving. And if Rigo beats Donaire, don't call it an upset because it isn't. Gesta, Pacquiao...who's left? Donaire is your last hope.

I can actually see Rigo out boxing Donaire and frustrating him all the way to a UD.

But then I thought Montiel would have been a stiff challenge...
