Clottey got the call because a Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight couldnt get put together, they picked as Floyd and fans alike would say, "The next best available opponent" at the time....:deal

I'm just going to assume you are one who wants Pacquiao to be forced to fight Mayweather next.

The whole article, I thought, was about who Pacquiao would fight if he couldn't fight Mayweather. I mean, it's not like Arum and Pac can just plan their entire lives around trying to get PBF in the ring. They already did that dance, and it didn't work.

Mayweather has said following the Mosley bout that he doesn't need Pacquiao.

It would appear as though Arum and Pacquiao might feel similarly about Floyd.

“if Cotto beats Yuri Foreman, Manny may want to fight Cotto at 150 pounds for the junior middleweight title in a rematch.”

Balcquiaos up to his old tricks again.

Him fighting Margo would be a joke but not to the extent PBF vs JMM was. I'm not a PBF hater but that JMM fight was a joke. He made a lightweight (who we all knew couldn't carry that extra weight) come up to a cw of 144 and Floyd still couldn't meet that weight (because he had no intentions of making weight). That was flat out disrespectful, JMM deserves better than that. Fight was an absolute sham which is why I didn't buy it.

Cotto is damaged goods and Pacquiao already beat that ass and it wasn't even close. Nobody wants to see that crap again.

There is one fight to be made for Floyd and Manny and that is each other, nothing else makes sense.

Well, I was rooting for Cotto to beat Foreman.

    I'm not now.

Mayweather-Pacquaio is the fight that should be made next. These are the two best fighters in the world, near their peaks, same weight class, and the fight has been building for a while now. I think the fight gets made either for their next fight or the one after that at the latest. Too much money involved here and I think Arum is starting negotiations by throwing out other fights.

As for Margarigtio and Cotto as possible other opponents for Pac here's how I see it. I have little interest in seeing a Cotto rematch until I see Cotto in a couple more fights to see what he has left in him. I wouldn't go and say he's damaged goods like some will but I wouldn't rule it out either. Cotto's been in some grueling fights and a few of them recently. If Cotto beats Foreman and perhaps defends his belt succesfully once or twice then a rematch at 154 with Steward in his corner becomes interesting again.

Margarito and Pacquaio would be a war. Their styles mix perfectly and Margarito is a bigger guy than Pac. I see Pacquaio stopping him but not before a very good fight. I'm not too crazy about seeing Margartio getting a huge payday from Pac after his Mosley incident. But if he wins his fight this week then he is an obvious potential opponent. I'd take Margarito over Yuri Foreman every day of the week as an opponent for Pacquaio and I wouldn't be at all surprised if that fight happens if a Mayweather fight doesn't get made.
