Myself and MANY MEXICANOS lost alot of respect on how he fought Mayweather He tried boxing, and it wasnt working. So why didnt he switch it up, go balls out and try and use his size and power to get a ko? Only Gasnelo knows! Chance of a lifetime and he didnt go all out? As a Mexican Im also going for Angulo, however Canelo is not a slugger & to me does not make him any less of a "mexican". Floyd is just on another level.
Should be a good fight with Canelo as the boxer and The Dog as the brawler. Canelo should be able to showcase his skills in this fight. I have Canelo by UD or TKO.
i see this fight going either way, i would really hope for the sake of boxing that canelo learns and grows from his mayweather experience. canelo is so young and has much promise, i really hope that he shows us something other than hype and improves his skill, and stamina.

Pathetic Then he fights Austin Trout in a tough close fight and wins another belt. In the past he fought contender bum fighters like Alfonzo Gomez and then ask a small 140lb Josesito Lopez to come up to 154lbs and then he gets totally outclassed by Floyd Mayweather. Yep I remember many paisas, esp old timers, just shaking their heads in disbelief. Some thought Canelo was even afraid to get kod by the smaller May weather. We know he's a good fighter, but lacked character in the fight. At least Marquez in the end took it to May weather and he didn't look bad at all in the last round. Canelo needs to drink more Tecate to get more "caracter" in the ring.
